The car chase is by far the action highlight of the movie, but the fight scenes - particularly the finale with the Joker - are nearly incomprehensible.

Hey there! What was your old discus handle? Just to help reorient myself here.
What did you read this week?
*Testing testing* Is this thing on?
Besides killing her off too early, I also wished she didn’t spend the majority of her screentime with the amnesiac child-like version of Elektra. I like Elodie Yung’s portrayal more than most people, but those scenes were a real dud to watch.
The mrs and I laughed out loud when that happened. We really couldn’t believe that they’re going in that direction. Cybernetic arm, here we come!
So confused by this one. Why was it left so vague? Did the gate bring them to some underground portion of K’un Lun? Or some place in between?
I read an interview where it’s not Shou-Lao, but another dragon of his species or something. The general idea is that it’s supposed to be the same kind of energy that powers the Iron Fist. That’s why the “substance” is just some dragon bones.
It seemed like each Defender got to bring 2 supporting characters with them. Matt got Foggy/Karen and Jessica got Trish/Malcolm. With that breakdown, it seemed like Claire was mostly being used as a secondary character for both Luke and Danny, who each only had one additional supporting character (Misty and Colleen).…
We didn’t see her head get chopped, but I really doubt Sigourney Weaver would come back just to get wasted for another season.
I thought it was pretty absurd that the NYPD would let a couple civilians hang around by themselves in a station and just wander around doing whatever they wanted, including looking at crime scene photos and stealing C4 from the evidence room.
I found the Spoiler Space from the pre-kinjapocalypse and noticed that a lot of people believed for a second that DD could actually be dead. It made me wonder if I could have had that experience, but unfortunately I got spoiled by my RSS Reader with sites that said “Let’s talk about that Defenders ending” and featured…
I noticed that if you press the “Kinjamprove!” button, it folds in all the pending comments as well and doesn’t banish anyone to the greys. This thing is great!
I really can’t imagine an actor like Bale signing up for this type of mega-franchise work. If the options were to finish a standalone trilogy with Nolan or continue cashing checks with cinematic universe money but have to work with Snyder, I don’t think it was a tough choice.
The comments are definitely loading a lot faster than they used to. That’s the only real positive I see so far. The main page is kind of a mess. I don’t know why some of the highest posts are from several days ago.
I originally read “Jamie Kennedy” in that headline and now I’m sad we’re not getting a resurgence of the wacky Portman from the Lonely Island days.
Just testing... am I in the greys?
I'll still be here and try to keep the Friday comic book discussion tradition alive. If it ends up being a ghost town, let's try to create a liferaft over at TIF or The Avacado. I don't really understand how those sites work yet though, so I'm going to try to stick here if it's possible!
I'll miss our weekly discussions, friend! Hope I'll still see you around on other disqus-related sites.
It doesn't help that the one and only canonical origin in any of the movies is unanimously agreed to be the worst one, and that's the Jack Napier backstory in Batman '89.
