Hey bud! Can you combine with the thread below?

This is really cool! I wish I could have gone, but I live and work in the city and the commute wouldn't have been manageable on a weekday for me.

Will this be the Big Issues post that brings Power Girl back to these halls? I know he loves this series.

I haven't checked it out because I still want to finish the Venditti run, but having Matt Kindt on it has me a lot more interested that I would have been otherwise. Did you read it? How was it?

Hey! What did you read this week?

I liked how Chris Sims described it, "What if Batman was Spider-Man?" because that was pretty much why I loved it.

Oliver's introduction above confirms that there's only 2 more issues left, so you're wrong by just one: 7 total!

Star-Lord's inclusion on the Life Raft in Secret Wars was the first I noticed how suddenly elevated the GotG characters are supposed to be now. It was a little unusual then and still continues to be so now, but that event was the only place where it felt somewhat appropriate. His "toothpick" moment is just pure

Wake me up when they reboot Superhuman Samurai Syber-Squad.

I have to admit that the most promising thing about this movie for me was the mental image of Bill Hader hamming it up inside a cheesy robot costume from a 90's kids live action show while speaking in a robot voice, whining "aye yai yai yai yai!" like a Chinese grandma.

No spoilers please, but I've raised an eyebrow at how he's third-billed although I consider him a bigger name than the other two.

International Iron Man with Alex Meleev was the better of the two books at the time, plus it was less mired in continuity. Mostly because I liked to lie to myself and pretend I was reading Daredevil in the 2000s.

Oh yeah I take that for granted sometimes. The guy has shown a lot of growth, so I'm wishfully thinking 2017 Stephen Amell and not 2012 Stephen Amell.

Bodhi's death was the most affecting for me because the guy had been on edge for the entire movie and he had finally stopped being afraid right before the grenade came in.

If only they could have cast Stephen Amell without any conflict of interest.

It was weirdly reminiscent of the first issues of Jeff Lemire's Moon Knight run, which I just read.

Colleen is pretty great so far. I hope that she finds a life preserver and escapes to another show in the somewhat likely event that Netflix/Marvel doesn't give this one another shot. I think she's supposed to appear in Defenders so we can at least get excited for a Daughters of the Dragon team-up in the near future.

They also forgot that part for 90% of the characters in Watchmen.

He's got great ideas! Sometimes he just forgets to tell a story. I described this a bit yesterday, but my problem with a lot of his work is that it relies on multiple readings yet the initial read can be so incomprehensible that it fails to engage me in wanting to give it a second try. I feel like my interests as a

I won't mind. The awkward part is more from my side and just getting over that initial "Hey I sort of know you" hurdle the first time, so should be fine moving forward.
