Those are some tall words! I'm curious. What is it that isn't working for you? Like I said, I haven't read it. I was only skeptical because Rafer Roberts is an unproven creator for me. I haven't tried any of his stuff.

I saw your post yesterday, checked on the site, and saw that the tour was hitting my town (NYC) the next day. I ended up going, and I'm so glad I went! The guys were so nice and stayed until after the double feature ended at 1:30 AM to continuing chatting with fans. Anyway, just wanted to say thanks! Anyone who's

I'm surprised there's been relatively little noise about it - especially when you compare it to how much controversy Before Watchmen got only a few years ago. Folding these characters into the mainline continuity is arguably worse and it makes me cringe about how this is going to turn out. I'm also disappointed by how

I asked Gabriel Ba about it in NYCC last October and he confirmed that it'll come back. But when?! I want it nowwww!!!!

It's actually a newsletter and there have only been two so far. He sends out previews for his upcoming books and usually caps it off with an editorial that reflects on something in the industry. I really enjoy it because he has a lot of perspective and I can understand his viewpoint even if I don't completely agree

This was actually the Vertigo one-shot that preceded the monthly title by a few years. I still haven't actually read the ongoing because I'm holding out for a new physical collection =(

If you see Valiant at any conventions, they also give really great deals for bundles. You should check them out if you have a chance - my gateway into Valiant was buying the first 3 A&A trades for $20. The regular $9.99 volume 1 trades are a great incentive to try out new books too, and has caused my wallet much pain.

Ah, gotcha. I edited it to cover for you.

Just in case anyone's interested, Ed Brubaker's been writing some editorials in his newsletter. This one came out two days ago.

I totally agree. There's something about his writing that leaves me constantly questioning, "Am I missing something here? Uhh let's just keep reading."

I'd highly recommend that! Ivar is probably my favorite of the books they've released. If you enjoyed it, you should check out Van Lente's Archer & Armstrong. Quantum & Woody is a real hoot as well, if you're looking for other lighthearted books in the universe.

Good luck dude! I love the MoMI. Had my first date with my fiancee there and have loved it ever since.

My only complaint about Rebirth so far (besides the Watchmen stuff) is that the 20-page issues have made some issues feel incomplete. Titans Rebirth was essentially one scene that extended over an entire issue. Batman #1 was basically one really long action scene that didn't leave much room for a complete mission

I'm going to reserve judgment on this one. Dan Slott's best work on ASM has been on the big event stories (Spider-Island, Ends of the Earth, Spider-Verse) and Bendis' take on the Ultimate Clone Saga was surprisingly great, so we know it's possible for someone to make lemonade out of these lemons.

Can we name writers? For me that's Grant Morrison.

I'm a little embarrassed to say this, but I was pretty obsessed with the 90s Spider-Man cartoon. I loved the heavily serialized storytelling and the faithful depiction of good guy Peter Parker and wisecracking Spider-Man. I know the animation was pretty unremarkable and it could get cheesy, but god damn it, some of

I really liked it, though I thought the David Finch artwork hampered things a bit. He's improved, but he's still not quite there in my opinion. Whenever I see his squinty-faced work, I have an almost Pavlovian aversion to it as it reminds me of Ultimatum, one of the worst mainstream comics I've ever read.

YES!!! A Valiant-themed Big Issues!

I really dig Halloween Comicfest. The offerings aren't always as good as FCBD, but a lot less people know about it so it's far easier to get the books you want.

The Wicked + The Divine Vol. 2 - I finished the first volume a week ago and was a little mixed but curious enough to keep reading. Holy crap, what a cliffhanger on this one! I'm definitely reading more after this one. Some of my frustrations from Vol. 1 (some annoying characters) were abated when I saw the role
