The costume and artwork made me want to like the book so bad, but I just couldn't stand the subpar Saturday morning cartoon characterization and plotting. It felt like Bendis' Ultimate Spider-Man, but watered down for the new generation and much much worse.

I couldn't really stand it, and I picked up the Superman Beyond issues with the 3D glasses and everything. The artwork by JG Jones and Doug Mahnke was all pretty stellar though. I wished it was serving a story I could give a hoot about.

Weirdworld is just as worth it for the art. The Secret Wars mini-series at least — I haven't checked out the ongoing yet.

I think I'm about to get sucked back into Spider-Woman thanks to that upcoming Spider-Women crossover shepherded by Robbie Thompson. I don't mind that, but I'm annoyed that I might have to begrudgingly buy Spider-Gwen again after rage quitting it post-relaunch.

I'm crossing my fingers for eventual omnibuses or at least oversized hardcovers. I've waited so long to read these Miracleman books that I don't mind waiting a little longer until it's in an ideal format.

Fuller House might be garbage, but the Carly Rae Jepsen theme song freaking rules.

Yeah I didn't mean my statement as a personal slight against Amy Adams. Man of Steel Lois is not bad because Amy Adams is bad. Man of Steel Lois is bad because movie is bad.

The kiss followed by a stupid joke while standing amidst Ground Zero x100 retroactively ruined the character for me a bit, but I did enjoy some of the changes they made in the first half of the movie - particularly how she joined the story as a reporter and got to be in on his secret right off the bat. They had such

Teri might be the best live action TV Lois Lane, but the animated Lois voiced by Dana Delany is even better.

On the big screen, Margot Kidder is hands down the best portrayal of the character we've had. You can believe that she's a strong reporter and a worthy partner for Superman at verbal sparring. Kate Bosworth alone sinks the movie that I could otherwise call myself an apologist for. The most recent actress - Amy Adams

I don't think people are disliking it, I've just read very little press or excitement about the story aside from a write-up that spoiled the twist from the first story. It's a pleasant surprise for me, though I agree Maria Hill's voice is a bit off. She's even more snarky than she is under Bendis' writing. She sounds

I prefer the original, which is sadder and makes his death feel even more futile.

I just read the second Avengers Standoff one-shot, Alpha, and this story is way better than people are talking about. Some of Nick Spencer's best Marvel work here, I think.

There are definitely storytelling tricks he's repeating with fleshing out his villain in Coach Boss, who bears a few sympathetic qualities similar to Red Crow. I'm not sure if Southern Bastards will surpass Scalped in my head just because I have more of a distaste for those characters in real life.

I'd say the same for DMZ as well. Both Wood and Aaron have admitted that they prefer the deluxe editions that collect the first two volumes because they felt their books kicked into gear around the second story arcs.

It's just insane that they built their hugest crossover ever around Hickman's core esoteric book. Hickman's Marvel work before that was usually in the fringes enough for people to enjoy it, but it didn't often feel like a mainstream book. And then they crossed over in a way that literally affected the entire

Deadly Class is the one that stands out the most for me. It's the book that captures his voice and what he brings to the table that's unique from others. There are times where I feel a little guilty about liking it, when it reaches near Mark Millar levels of depravity, but overall I enjoy it. I just feel kind of like

Archer & Armstrong was one of my favorite Valiant books, but Ivar is geared slightly closer to my tastes. I tend to just be a sucker for time travel stories, and the issue with the multiple Neelas all hanging out at the bar in-between attempts to save their father's life had me laughing out loud the entire time.

I love how each volume builds on and expands the world even further. The Conclave storyline blew my mind and has been my favorite one so far.

The rights are confusing. Drew Goddard has mentioned in interviews that his cancelled Sinister Six movie would have partially taken place in the Savage Land. That's another movie studio entirely!
