I liked him best in the second episode so far. Josh Duhamel was only able to be so scary because Franco's character felt incredibly weak and terrified during their scenes together. The confrontation in the house had me on the edge of the seat even though I had already read the book. I admired that he didn't have to

Old Man Logan seems older than the Wolverine who appears in the Millar Fantastic Four book too. I always thought of Old Man's Logan ending with the baby Banner Jr. being a cute easter egg rather than an actual continuation of the story.

Same here. I've read a few of them in book stores, but there's just so many that I never wanted to buy them all. I've heard a lot of good things about Greg Rucka's novelization of No Man's Land, which improves on the original story by being under one unified voice. I think I'm going to pick up a used copy somewhere.

This is the only thing I heard about before:

I'm really curious about the Abnett/Lanning split. It sounds like they absolutely refuse to work together again, which must have been especially awkward around the debut of the GotG film which gave them a lot of credit for the work they did on the characters.

There's a website that's really useful for reading order. This is the link for the Cosmic Marvel books:

Hasn't he tried to "shout away" other potential proteges though? Tim Drake similarly hung around the Bat characters before eventually earning his status, similar to Harper. There weren't any obvious clues that there was anything more to Bruce's attitude during Harper's first appearances besides annoyance that another

All this Harper stuff seems like a giant retcon. It would've been cool if they had actually foreshadowed this in her original appearances, but Batman didn't seem particularly conflicted around her and it seemed like no big deal once he finally let her play vigilante. He didn't seem to put up any more resistance that

Hey! What did you guys read this week?

Even then, the Joker from the comics has been significantly more evil during the entire existence of the comic version of Harley. The Joker on BTAS was more often played for laughs. I recently read an old Greg Rucka interview where he couldn't figure out how to write a take on the Joker and asked Paul Dini, who said

I figure when the time comes I'll start off on some kid friendly books that I'll write off on ever keeping in good condition. I already started lying to myself by buying each of Skottie Young's Oz books in hardcover, "Er, I'll read these to my kids some day!" Except I love those books and want to keep them pristine

I didn't mean to offend with my response. I know 99% of comics won't ever turn a profit, but I'm a bit of an obsessive when it comes to these things. Old habits are hard to break!

Whoa! I'm sorry but that sounds terrifying to me. I really like to keep my books in as close to original condition as I can. I even keep all my trades in individual plastic sleeves because that's how I was conditioned from the store I grew up with and eventually worked at. I bought the 1963 issues and will probably

Liefeld claims that he himself had to appeal straight to the director to get his and Nicieza's name in the credits. Before that, at least those two had their own easter egg references in the first 20 minutes of the movie. Kelly got screwed over though.

Thanks for the recommendation! Just bought the complete set.

Would you say the series is worth buying now, knowing it's incomplete? Do the 6 issues tell a complete enough story?

I've only heard of 1963 and I want to read it so bad. From what I've read though, it'll likely never be reprinted and I don't know how to track them down.

Regarding Aaron: read Scalped!

I thought they were fun during a time where sustained runs with concrete start and finishing points weren't the norm, so I didn't mind the break. Some of the stories ended up being really creative and they're easy to read as standalone issues. The mid90s art unavoidably just comes with the territory.

The length is why I'd recommend the Simone run even more. It's pretty standalone and is really fun, with some good drama thrown in as well.
