I am immensely proud that there is a notable LGBT figure in motorsport. As a gay guy who is very very much into cars (I literally live and breathe cars, I think about cars more than sex haha), I find it really hard to find other LGBT people who share the same interests. There are a few of us, but not many!

Honestly.. screw Canadian Amazon! US$99 regular price down to US$50 with discount code. Same product on the Canadian store is freaking CAD$279!! what gives???

I think the Raider looked better than the Dodge version.

The 4G63 is a 2.0L not 1.8L. The 1.8L models have the 4G93 engine. I believe these came with either the 1.8L 4G93 or the 2.4L 4G64, both SOHC 16V. Also the transmission is a four speeder not three speed.

Looks almost like mine apart from not having the body coloured wheels (which for JDM models denotes either Super VR-4 or VR-4 Monte Carlo Edition).

*Galant. And it is, a JDM Super VR-4, in fact. The only JDM VR-4 to be factory fitted with leather interior.

literally NONE of these Anker deals are available on the Canadian amazon store :(

The i30 is what the Maxima was for the rest of the world. The USDM Maxima just got uglier and uglier.

The 90s ES300 was sold in Japan as a Toyota Windom, alongside the Camry, Crown, Cressida/MarkII/Cresta

Only ~3000 of them - 2000 in ‘91 and 1000 in ‘92.

le sigh... this is when I moved it to my own garage in late 2011 after sitting in a storage facility for almost two years... It’s now in my mom’s garage covered in more dust and bird shit that has damaged the original paint.

It’s not a swan it’s a Kiwi!

Just FYI - about 25,000 of these Galant VR-4s were built in total from 1987 to 1992. 3009 were sent to the US in total, with approx 2000 being sold in 1992 and 1000 in 1991.

There was no wagon of this generation.

AMG version of the FWD non-turbo E33A Galant. The AMG made less power and torque than the VR-4, but did have a nicer interior and body kit.

It does not cost $1500 to do a 4G63 timing belt. Parts including water pump and tensioner would be $200-300 max, and it would be no more than 3-4 hours of labour for anyone who knows what they are doing.

Most likely this was a domestic flight so wouldn’t be flying ‘into New Zealand’ as it would have originated from... New Zealand.

I think you’ve confused New Zealand with Australia.

By the way - it’s NZTA (New Zealand Transport Agency, formerly LTSA), not VTNZ (Vehicle Testing New Zealand, which is a privately run inspection company).

Would it not still be under warranty after 3 years and 60,000 miles?
