Doesn't Google Now use the location services currently in the phone to display "cards" for what you have tagged as interested and will flash up when near? I believe it does, so if that is the case it's just a matter of notification settings being pushed to the wearable. Most likely via bluetooth.

Can this be just a red herring the Tuttles elaborately set-up so that 2nd season and on, can be continuing the search for the true evil (Tuttle and others) behind all of this?
