Hopefully we’ll get the Obsidian cut in a couple years.

-David Tracy

I explicitly used the “$400/mo  headline” because folks outside of our core readership are more likely to click on that rather than “Nice cars you can get for $21,000"  but I do go to explain how I arrived at that number while keeping a reasonable loan term.

Hm. Looks promising. Might have to re-up my Jalopnik Gold subscription.

Yes, because stashing away $35k in liquid cash is a reasonable expectation. Everyone else should drive old cars.

This is a little extreme. Financing is a useful tool and most 36mo loans have interest lower than inflation. You’d be an idiot to pay cash if you can get 0% for 3 yrs.

Just get Papa Murphy’s and bake it yourself.  Their pizza is better than the big chain pizza anyways.  My favorite is the chicken bacon artichoke.

Stop sitting on the console then.

Then lower the seat. My 6'10" cousin has plenty of room.

Did yall forget these still exist?

No diesel no sale.

You’re getting old.

I’ll pass on calling dibs. Few things are more humiliating than being underwater on a Hyundai.

“You are probably better off just fixing the brakes and the exhaust on your Hyundai, banking some money, and building your credit.”

Anyone currently sleeping in a tent, for starters.

A) He created the company.

The thought of ever going on enough first dates to have a “first date power move” is actually terrifying. I just don't understand some people.

“...the first Miata in 1989 started at $13,800, or around $29,283 in today’s money...”

Counterpoint: Miatas are low volume and have less vehicles to spread development costs across on their unique platform. Mazda is not exactly swimming in cash. Miatas have no direct competition in the small RWD convertible department.
