Can we stop saying that two members of a couple are pregnant, unless there are two women, each of whom is pregnant? 

If “they” are pregnant (let this phrase diiiiie), that’s going to be one very bland child.

It’s helpful to remember that she’s 28...not a baby, but she’s also been spared the kind of thing that drove, say, the Parkland kids into the public square at a very young age. It would be interesting to compare when other celebs went public with their politics, if ever. Her statement reads as authentic–articulate but…

Not sure about the ‘nickeler’ gag. There are more than enough genuine grievances against Taylor Swift without making any up.

It’s hard to get on someone who was never open or involved about political stuff. If she was I’d agree with about her complictness. Most of the other people named have long since being active, involved, or engaged with political commentary and discussion.

Is it weird that I’ve only noticed this fashion brand in the last month and then suddenly realized that I see the ads and stores everywhere?  I don’t know what sparked it. For some reason, I vaguely thought of it as a furniture place like Pier One or something..

I saw it and now I feel like the entire world is conspiring to prank me because all I’ve heard and read is rave reviews and how great it is, but it was legitimately the worst movie I’ve seen in years.

As a 31-year-old left wing TS fan, I disagree.  You’d be surprised at how many of her fans are smart, young, democratic voters  

Yeah, I think she was going for comparing her popularity and influence to being even greater than an ACTUAL politician so that’s the gag, I think?

Her career started well over a decade ago. Let’s just pretend that her target audience then was young teens. That means they’re well past the age to start voting. I think the average age of her fans now are 20-30 year olds. Your take is a terrible one.

Taylor doesn’t nominate senate candidates I’m pretty sure.  Also, why would she endorse her opponent?  Come on.  At least make sense while you rip her apart again and again for everything she ever does.  Let’s make Dirt Bag clever, funny, and sensical again! 

I think the Kavanaugh confirmation was a sobering revelation (for many, but especially those in the public eye) that women can’t afford to engage in feminism-lite or alliance-lite anymore; if the tenets of equality and tolerance are actually important to us, we have a responsibility to throw our weight into midterm…

I know. I hate when people I don’t know and never will know do not do things based on a timeline that I have in my head for when and why they should do things.

This seriously did not need to be the week to take a dump on Taylor Swift for doing something right. 

I’m interested in how the comments will spin this into a negative thing.
