My parents were very strict about nearly everything (as in, my curfew as an older teenager was 9 pm), but they weren’t weird about alcohol. Well, unless you count my mom teaching me to make cocktails for her as a kid but hey, I’ve been making a mean Cosmo since I was 8.

I really, really like the Lelo Ina Wave. I’m really lazy, so I love that it does all the work for me. It’s technically a rabbit, but it’s got a bunch of different settings.

When the Chipotle in ABQ opened, there was a line around the block. In a city that already has burritos everywhere. I can’t stomach the huge amount of cilantro in everything and everyone I know says the burritos are bland because there isn’t any chile

If my mom passed suddenly, my dad would absolutely hire a maid. NOT having a maid is still a sticking point in their relationship because my dad had one when he lived alone, but my mom didn’t want someone else doing the cleaning when she moved in (?). If you can afford it, there’s no shame in admitting you hate

I grew up in southern NM and everyone I knew, when asking for a cigarette, would say, “hey, can I bum a fro?” Why “fro” was the word for cigarette, I do not know.

Yeah, I mean...my old mare didn’t care for other horses and really only liked a few humans. She was also the one who trampled a coyote to death. There are trade offs in every personality. I’ve never trusted any horse so much though because if you were a part of her very selective group, she’d do anything for you.

I thought that she was calling people who want to do something “edgy” but don’t want to commit herbs. Like, the people who get all kinds of piercings but are critical of other people’s tattoos because they’re permanent. But maybe we read it differently

Does anyone actually still think that tattoos make them cool?! I mean, lots of people are proud of their tattoos, but I’ve never seen anyone act like someone without tattoos is uncool.

How the hell is it someone else’s writing if the person getting the tattoo is picking it? Besides, your ways of carrying your stories aren’t particularly different than getting a tattoo. Humanity has been interested in writing on skin for a very long time and I think of the desire to modify one’s body as something

With bleach and dye, just like I do my hair. They make kits, but I didn’t want to wait for one in the mail

If only I could get it to match my hair in the first place, ha! But periwinkle does not suit that particular region

I recently started dyeing mine pink. It’s certainly A Look

Some guys like teeth. After 4 years of very carefully not using teeth, imagine my surprise when my bf asked me to use teeth. So much wasted effort.

I like cooking and I love baking, but I almost never do it because there is no chore I hate more than washing dishes. It’s The Worst. I don’t order delivery either though because there isn’t any delivery available in my area besides pizza (can’t eat) and sandwiches (I have too much dignity still). Mostly, I eat a lot

My two current favorites are L’Artisan Parfumeur La Chasse aux Papillions and Seville le Aube. They’re very similar in a way, though one is light and the other rich. Orange blossom notes are my favorite. I also like Tokyomilk Destiny and Hanae Mori Butterfly.

Man, I wish I got the dark notes in Tainted Love, but with my body chemistry it smells like straight vanilla

Well, they’ve been there for a few years without incident. It’s a huuuuuge government building with stone floors and the kittens take up a rather small area of it. In the past couple weeks, there have been several kittens adopted, so it certainly works that way.

Well, my Grandpa was paralyzed in a freak accident at a theme park, so that was traumatic.

I walk by this a lot when I’m working. It’s adorable and they have a lot of room to play. They get socialized and usually adopted very quickly.

It’s not an actual library...it’s a very large parrot cage type thing in a big, big lobby. The employees can “check them out” i.e. take them to their office to play and socialize. Generally, they only live there for a few weeks before they get adopted
