In the rest of the animal kingdom, betas and omegas seem pretty content to be betas and omegas. This fixation on alphaness in humans, I don't know where it came from, but it seems to have started within the last ten years or so. I'm not even sure how it's supposed to be defined. Somebody says "alpha male," I just hear

Let's start with Dr. Robert Burger.

Vasectomies are so much easier to do, but you'd think a guy was getting his entire frank-and-beans removed. And I have seen people (internet antichoicers mainly) suggest women who don't want to have children should "just get a hysterectomy" which really underscored for me how utterly willfully clueless and cavalier

You were making a point about sex by ignoring the majority of men in attendance to focus on two women.

"One day, these women will look back at this moment and be so very ashamed ..."

They twist it in their minds as preserving their own rights as Christians (to impose their bigotry on the whole world by legislation). Same with the contraception/abortion "debate."

He was. That's why he has food dumped all over him.

Okay. There's still a lot more men in the anti-gay-marriage victory party photo.

What kind of person you are depends on all kinds of factors. Girls and women obviously have different, more complicated motivations for girl-bashing than boys do.

There appears to be an equal or greater number of men in attendance.

They'd think it was mean of you that you're not happy for them.

"Get the fuck over yourself."

Because masculinity. It's supposed to be the solution to everything, especially for men of Peter's generation. If it doesn't solve everything, you're just not being masculine enough.

If you're female and over the age of five, you've likely had those words used against you. Whether you're the kind of person to turn around and do that to other girls yourself depends on whether you have the resources to see that tripe for what it really is.

I might have seen that like once. Besides, if they do talk about his hair going gray, it's attributed to the stress of the Presidency, not to his being a washed up old hag who shouldn't be seen in public.

He feels his masculinity is in jeopardy, hence the sink and the gun and the fist fight.

When somebody's talking about shit one group has to deal with as members of that group and someone comes in and says, "but this other group gets it too," it implies an equivalency.

Did that take you back to the first season when Peggy and Peter would find themselves alone and bow chicka wow wow? Now they're totally unfazed by each other. Or Peggy is anyway.

Switching the focus to Joan would be a way of getting more Dawn in, to see how she deals around the office. People have been kind of unrealistically nice to Dawn so far, always making a big point of saying thank you for every little thing. They never did that with any secretary before. Maybe that's just part of the

Joan's doing the same thing a lot of the viewers are doing with Megan and projecting expected old cliches onto her. Peggy appeared to see through it.
