I’m still very irritated about the whole Hangouts thing. The convenience of being able to send messages from my home computer is something that is dearly missed.

I think Nolan is misunderstood. Humor is not his strong suit, but (admittedly flawed movies) like Interstellar show a hopeful, optimistic side to his work. What we know about his contribution to Man of Steel’s development indicated he suggested a tone decidedly less dark than his take on Batman. I think Nolan would

BECAUSE NOTHING YOU EVER DO IS GOING TO BE GOOD ENOUGH.

Hangouts has actively moved backwards. It used to support SMS and was moving toward better MMS Support. With Sprint and Google Voice, it was awesome. Now, none of that stuff works anymore. WTF.

Because the outrage industry is one of the few sectors keeping America’s economy afloat in these troubled times.

To date, Die Another Day is the only Bond movie I’ve never seen.

Because consumers want an authentic product.

Depending on how you look at it, you could say Connery had three bad swan songs. I enjoyed You Only Live Twice, but a lot of people hate it, and you can see throughout the movie how disinterested Connery is in the whole thing. Diamonds Are Forever was clearly his worst film in the official Bond film series... and Never

Just save yourself some trouble: no matter what happens, or what choices are made, there will be several pockets of fanboys bitching about something being done “wrong.” Some arguments will be valid, most will be noise.

Yep, that. I sincerely hope that the MCU Cap mantle skips Bucky and lands on Falcon.

Martin Campbell to give Craig a proper swan song. IMO each bond actor, except for Dalton and Lazenby (bad actor in a good bond movie) , finished their runs with stinkers.

Simple answer is that Peter Parker is more widely known as Spider-Man than Miles Morales. I’d love a Spider-Miles take, but the average movie goer knows the generic story: spider bite, Uncle Ben, great responsibility. That’s not to say when Tom Hollond’s contract is up they don’t bring Miles in.

This is exactly right. You would think that Marvel’s style would be clear by now but I guess when you have people writing articles that don’t seem to really understand the historical significance of these characters OR the business propositions involved in setting up these franchises, it’s not surprising to see

The current Spider-Man in the Marvel comics is Miles Morales, an Afro-Latinx kid.

The number one reason why Spiderman is still white in the movies: Nobody in the general audience, have ever heard of Miles Morales. Peter is and always has been a nerdy white kid. Once they’ve established a New Young Avengers for the movies, they will have options to introduce the world to the lesser known characters.

Isha, for the love of God, if you want more lead actor diversity in movies (which we should have), then maybe stop contributing to this arbitrary push to have black actors cast in roles that have been Caucasian since the dawn of time. Instead, the push needs to me for more original black characters to have their own

Peter Parker has been Spider-Man since 1962. He is iconic, well-known and well-loved. I expect Miles to get some screen time as they move from the original hero incarnations to the new age as Phases come and go. Chill the fuck out. It was a diverse movie. Or is that not good enough?

It’s like a magnet school where all kinds of kids go, they just have to be really smart and test to get in,” said Watts. “We thought if we made it that kind of school, then you were going to have a really interesting mix of people.”

Because to 99% of the world, Spiderman is Peter Parker. Comics are a really niche audience, and will never be the target for blockbuster movies.

Because people like Peter Parker. I know Miles Morales is the “it” character, along with Kamala Khan, among fans of diversity (and rightfully so, as they aree both excellent characters), but that doesn’t mean studios should feel forced to toss aside one of the most iconic characters of all time.

The makers of this
