This shows description reminds me of Better Off Ted, which managed to be like 90% crazy funny shit and only occasionally felt the need to will they/won’t they the leads. Even stuff with Ted’s daughter generally didn’t drag the show too far into normalcy.

I love how similar Ten Year Old Tom is to Life and Times of Tim, its basically the exact same kind of humor and horrible escalating situations except at a school with a dumb kid instead of at a corporation with dumb adult. I’m still mad at HBO cancelling Tim considering a whole season probably cost less than a week’s

My friend plays pretty much nothing but Animal Crossing on her husband’s Switch, had over 700 hours... and now his Switch won’t turn on. I don’t think she even realized what that meant with AC’s weird save limitations until I was talking to them and said “dang, that sucks, you might have to start your whole island

I never watched Defendor, I remember dismissing it as it came out around the same time as Super. Its come up in comments here a few times and generally it seems people like whichever of the two (Super/Defendor) they saw first and dislike the other one, but if you are a fellow Super fan recommending it I might check it

That’s fair. The flashbacks were definitely Big’s. I didn’t want to get to into the details since it seemed like the other commenter stopped after the first episode and this show often does the unexpected. But that’s part of what I meant about the show’s flexibility, I qualified it as a Cheese ride along episode

It was one of my favorite first episodes in years, it grabbed me from the opening heist scene and the vision bit solidified it. Episodes 2 and 3 flesh out the community a bit more, and episodes 4-7 each focus on one of the four main kids, sometimes without any of the other kids even appearing. That’s when I knew it

What even is going on with FX now? This was already one of the many “FX on Hulu” shows that don’t even air on FX, unless its after the fact as like a promo, so its already been shuffled around from cable to streaming before it started. Would Hulu pick up an “FX on Hulu” show that FX cancelled? I don’t understand how

Aw man, I wasn’t the first person to jump to Parnell. Peacock needs content, where is the Dr. Spaceman spin-off series?

Parnell.

Watched the trailer a second time and I think Vigilante hiding behind the dumpster is a reference to Super, my favorite James Gunn movie.

At least she got her own musical number, though. Initially I thought Avril Lavigne was too on the nose but that Sk8er Boi sequence was a real highlight of the movie.

And I have always thought that Vigilante was kind of a lame design, but weirdly enough this live action version is really cool looking.

I don’t think its a questionable choice at all. Once I realized PM was still alive at the end of the movie and this series was a sequel, not a prequel, it seemed pretty obvious a major part of the show would be him trying to either A) learn not kill everyone to solve every problem and/or B) develop some kind of moral

Remastered, slightly updated/tweaked Bushido Blade and Tenchu, you are speaking my language! Two of my favorite PS1 games ever, such a bummer both series are dead.

There is also an episode about turning 9/11 into another mass market profitable holiday called “Remember Day.” I caught a few episodes on PlutoTV last year and now that they are on Paramount+ I am making my way through the whole thing and it is just amazing. Brutally dark and funny, its not satire that stings, its

I loved taking all the gang territory, spent a bunch of time locking down like 95% of it, then I hit the mission where IIRC Sam Jackson’s cop leaves you in the middle of nowhere and all the territory you took gets reset. I did not bother reconquering it at that point.

Katana Zero is one of the only games I actually completed last year. Although I never went back to figure out all the secrets and extras, maybe I should go back to it.

I’m definitely gonna get Dread eventually, but right now I’m glad its brought the 2D Metroids back into the limelight because I just found and traded in my old GBA copy of Zero Mission! Most of my stuff has been in storage for 4 years, and I was surprised to crack open a box and find a GBA looking worse for wear, but

The last one even got in hot water for in-game blaming an actual American war crime on the Russians:
