I think I still have that on my PS3. I loved the Music Mode that generated enemies based on music tracks you had on your hard drive. This was around the time the Scott Pilgrim game came out so I downloaded a bunch of Amanamaguchi tracks that were perfect for Infinity Gene, and occasionally I would attempt something Read more

Somebody gave Ed Burns a whole series? I also just found out he is married to super model Christy Turlington. Why has my white guy mediocrity not been this handsomely rewarded?!

Aryans/Nazis/whatever can have a pretty strong presence in prisons. I knew a guy who told me when he was in prison he joined up with the white power guys so that people wouldn’t fuck with him since he was a non-violent skinny ass white dude. He was a weirdo but he wasn’t racist, he was scared, and after he got out had Read more

I have not owned an XBox since the original so I have never dealt with Live or Gold but I have always been confused by it seeming like there were a bunch of different versions/subscriptions when I see articles like this. Between that and the increasingly ridiculous XBox names they really seem to something against Read more

The Guest is one of my favorite movies of the last decade. I’ve probably watched it 5 or 6 times now and I love every minute of it every time (and I have watched the barfight scene even more than that because its one of my go-to youtube clips when I need a smile).

Man Banshee was awesome. The fight between Nola and Burton was one of my favorite fight scenes ever. The whole time my wife and I were popping like a pro wrestling audience with each back-and-forth, and both characters were secondary characters and pretty much antagonists to the leads so you had no idea who would Read more

There WERE characters who were former criminals or gang members trying to reform and they were generally portrayed as decent people, it just so happened that all the other criminals/gang members were so EVIL that they constantly tried to get the reformers to commit crimes/help their gang again. It was similar to the Read more

Well, thanks for being upfront with your wrongness. Who’s going to answer domestic violence calls after you abolish the police? You? The author of this review?” Read more

If the always online/no used game thing was a PR stunt it backfired horribly. I don’t think that WAS a stunt, just a bad idea they reversed course on once they saw public reaction and Sony’s response. But even if it WAS a stunt, why would someone try it again after it made them lose the whole last generation of the Read more

Yeah, small incremental increases over time are one thing, but DOUBLING the cost during a time when many people are still out of work or facing financial troubles due to Covid is amazingly wrong-headed. If they had increased it by a a buck or two a month I doubt people would have flipped out.

Nice. He earned his name because he boldly went where no kitty had gone before (under the seats in our Volvo when we were bringing him home for the first time).

This sounds like it came from the right-wing comics community, which shares a lot of overlap with but is not entirely the same as the shitty Star Wars community. But yeah, at this point I almost wish douchebags like Ethan Van Scivener would actually start getting more comic work again just so they had less time make Read more

Kate McKinnon duel-wielding the pistol laser whip things was pretty cool, but it was also completely out of place in this particular movie. As was that whole action sequence which felt like it was mandated because “tentpole genre film = CGI heavy action climax.” I wouldn’t be surprised if that whole sequence was Read more

I named the family dog after Delenn when I was a kid. We also had a cat named Picard.

This is so accurate I can’t believe I haven’t seen the comparison before. Except Zapp is somehow smarter and less of a misogynist creep than Trump.

I found it and its called Jack and Casie, but unfortunately it looks like it is in limbo based on the Kickstarter updates about the creator taking a mental health break in 2019. I guess whoever I saw playing it was just playing an early demo version. Read more

A few years back I saw a video of someone playing a game that was like an action/puzzle game based entirely around a Resident Evil 4-style inventory grid. Anybody know the title? It looked neat but I did not remember to save the name anywhere.
