Just replied to Mrs. Gideon about Wallace, but I STILL get a little teary-eyed when I think of that character (lame, that's how i can tell i'm old!) I recently saw a trailer for 'Fruitvale Station' and I blurted out, Wallace! I'm really happy that actor is getting work (I know he was in FNL but I never saw that show)

Re) wanting everything to work out for Wallace, OMFG, yes!!! After that Season 1 heartbreaker involving his character, I looked up the actor, hoping to learn that he'd gotten more roles, b/c I thought he was SO good in that role and was such a good actor. (So many of those guys were —-D'Angelo, Avon, Bunk, etc.)

Yea, that logic bothers me as well. Apparently, China is getting around this by passing a law whereby parents can sue their adult children for not visiting/caring for them enough! (Made all the more harder, I imagine, due to their 1 child per family rule).

I went back and did a search, because I wanted to be sure. Didn't want to put something out there without the facts to back it up! But yup, i was right:

Aw, speak away! I know you're not alone in thinking he's handsome. To clarify, the 'icky' part of my comment was in reference to the actual speculation of whether or not she might have lost her virginity — that felt a bit @_@ —- just the kind of thing I really don't want to know, think is anyone's business (unless

A few years ago, Jezebel wrote their own article on Swift, speculating whether she might have lost her virginity to John Mayer...how bizarre is that? A lot of the comments were along the lines were, 'You play with fire, you'll get burned!' The whole thing was pretty icky.

Ok, thanks for the explanation, I didn't know that about the Romanian language. I was mostly confused since you wrote that 'Romanians speak Latin' —- I would've been equally surprised if someone had written 'the French/Italians/Spanish speak Latin' (as opposed to 'the French speak French', etc.) My family and I speak

Yea, that's the point where orchidhunter lost me with the argument. I, too, have heard Europeans, (a Romanian, in particular) take offense as use of the word 'Latino' solely for Spanish-speakers in the US. So I realize that Europeans who were once part of the Roman/Latin-speaking empire may consider themselves

Dodai, my favorite part of your round-up was the description of Hanneli's 'Loch Ness Monster pony'. Such a visual and apt description. Love it! Love! I also agree that her orange lipstick is beautiful. (The back neckline of her dress is interesting — it looks like an intentional cut, but also gives the impression

Yup. Instead of appreciating the supportive sentiment of the note, the MEANING behind it, it's 'Beyonce did that for PR purposes' or 'her handwriting is so grade-school' or 'why did she say, 'i'm so proud of you', thereby making it all about her', etc etc. (That last one in particular is RIDICULOUS — 'I'm so proud of

YES!! I noticed this too (fellow closed caption viewer here, primarily because it helps me better the names, as someone who hasn't read the books.)

Ages ago I saw a well-done version of Rasputin's story starring Alan Rickman - he was great in the lead role. I recommend it if you haven't already seen it.

I really liked him in that movie — the scene that took my breath away was actually the one at the costume party where he first sees Claire as Juliet. Both of them were so beautiful in that movie!

I do agree with you —- you see people preparing to riot, your first thought shouldn't be, 'Oooh, i wonder if i can still go shopping!!', will the Starbucks with the free wi-fi near the park be open, etc, etc.

But in this particular case, the protests in Turkey came about rather suddenly. Nobody could have guessed that an action such as a threat to tear down a local park would lead to THIS amount of protest and rioting, and in addition, no one, local or tourist alike, would have predicted that the police force would

Funny, I wondered if I was the only who was reminded of Willie whenever Frey came onscreen. Was very tempted to braid his hair and hand him a joint. Chill, Frey, relax, it's a wedding! Weddings are supposed to be fun.

Was not even aware of the Poor Richard font's existence! (What a simpleton I am!) I googled for examples post-haste and most def, that font has Trapped Hamster written all over it.

Good point re) Tom and William sharing similar looks in the first place. That does happen quite a lot among family members (child looking like their aunt or grandfather as a baby and what-have-you.) I hadn't considered whether William might, too, be a Scientologist, now I'm curious! (Most likely? That would be my

Do you remember how there were all these rumors floating around about Tom not being Suri's actual birth father, etc, etc? Another Jezzie once posted side by side photos of William and Suri to explain the theory that HE might be her actual father. I could kinda see it? (I wish I could do the side by side, but alas):

Yes, especially her pinky toe — it seemed to be making a desperate escape to flee that shoe!
