Agree with all your points, tho in Leo's defense, I think he does do a lot of environmental awareness/fundraiser type of things, if I'm not mistaken. I thought he drove a Prius and often pushed for animal rights' types of legislation. (Not in Redford's ballpark, by any means, but not completely uninvolved either.)

I know, I hope it's not true — I don't watch her show regularly but I saw a special with her a few years ago were she went to France and talked about various food places — at the end, her husband surprises her by showing up and arranging for a lovely, romantic meal. It seemed so sweet and the both of them became a bit

I agree with you re) handling raw ground turkey VS raw ground beef - the former is stickier and gets all over your hands. I keep a bowl of water to dunk my hands in when I'm using ground turkey for meatballs or burger. Also, I know the leaner turkey is supposed to be healthier for you but i find it even blander than

I once read/heard that Ghandi apparently drank his own urine — that was the first time I'd heard of such a thing and I was shocked! I was mostly shocked because I'd thought it was inherently poisonous to drink it. I need to Google the matter again, but from what I recall, I think people can drink it, after purifying

Dodai, I love your new kicks!! It just so happens I'd been hoping to buy a pair of navy blue Converse during a recent Macy's sale, but they were out of my size. I really like your yellow sneaker choice and I don't mean to be a biter (remember that word from grade school, issued summarily to any potential copycat?!

I know of someone who postponed his own wedding in order to fulfill some sort of deadline at work. At the time, his company was undergoing a lot of layoffs and I guess he was trying to save his job/appease bosses by working through the deadlines. There was a high level of stress and tension at the time so employees

You know, I love that I just started to do a search for 'Gunne Sax dre...' and 'Gunne Sax dresses 80s' came up as a search term right away —- must mean that we're not alone! I can't find the dress we may or may not have worn amidst the collection of images, but some of the other images that pop up are perfectly pretty

Our goal in 8th grade was to wear Gunne Sax dresses to our baby prom. You just had to. Mine did not have these beautiful sleeves or anything half as lovely as what you describe— as a product of the 80s, I had a strapless black dress w/ a poofy white midsection that wrapped around the waist. (Literally —- it was a

"Smell what The Rock is cookin'!' A radio station that I listen to plays a mash up of songs every Friday and around 6 or so when I get home, they will invariably include this sound bite among all the other dance/party songs and as a result, I wake up most Fridays with that line playing in my head on a loop. 'Smell

I know you're a long-time Jezzie and i'm glad it wasn't just me that noticed so TY for saying that! Gah @ 'doesn't even go here'! She patented the numbered comments list in DB, as far as I can tell, AND the handy music video references whenever an entertainer was being discussed, which I also enjoyed. (I finally

Off-topic, but you're back! Or maybe you've been back? in which case, don't mind me, I apologize for the oversight, but I really feel like it's been a while since I've seen you in DB. I've missed your concise and articulate bulleted lists (there was a DB in particular a few weeks ago where I thought, this needs the

This may already be known news to fans of JT, but a while ago, I happened to catch an episode of SATC — don't recall which season, but he played one of Carrie's promising BFs. Unfortunately, he ended up suffering from premature ejaculation and despite being fond of him and his especially loving family (Valerie Harper

Ah, thank you SO much for that bit of trivia, i love learning stuff like that!! Also TY for confirming my vague memory about the currency bit, it was so long and I wasn't sure if i was misremembering. I'm going to the library on Mon so I'll see if the book is available. Salt 4eva!

I don't think it's a big deal for her to have wood-burning pizza oven either (or really, anything she wants for that matter —- it's her money, she can afford it, why not?! I know I would love one if I had a big house with a backyard and the space and money for it!) Jamie Oliver (the Naked Chef) has one in his house

Same here. I've always joked about how for my office birthday party, I don't want a cake —- just bags and bags of delicious chips and Cheetos! I crave salty VS sweet on an ol' day. On a serious note though, salt is such a wonderful flavor enhancer sometimes —- I've tried cutting down or leaving it out of certain

I think a shorter haircut would really suit her — she's so beautiful and can pull off something shoulder-length, I bet.

Yes re) Pare — it's not as noticeable in the later pictures, but her nose in the first set seems to be overly powdered — i know it's probably highlighting powder that ends up not photographing well in certain pix (because I can't detect in that last, side profile photo). Also yes re) Shipka, I love everything about

Your opinion counts very much! Before bothering to reply, i skimmed the responses to see if there was something similar to what I would have written and found your comment - I'm in the same boat as you. I don't drink milk or use it in coffee, but I do like it in cereal and became so used to skim as an adult, that

Oooh, do see it, if you can, I recommend the show. I rented the first 2 seasons via Netflix (disc, not streaming) and I really came to like the premise and format of the show: GB plays a therapist who sees 5 different patients, with various issues, each profiled within their own 30 minute episode. Season 1 included a

Don't forget as Gabriel Byrne's wife in In Treatment! I didn't mind her character in that show, but she wasn't my favorite in The Killing either.
