I'm not a fan of any of them, but Angel's is the worst for me. It's one thing for the title character to brood the whole time, but dose the theme need to as well?

I have to agree. As much as I love Whedon shows, his intros/credit sequences kill me. I was hoping it was only a 90's early '00 thing, but then there was Dollhouse with another long, angsty credit sequence.

That's one of the reason always so impressed by Amy Acker at this point in the series. The way Illyria is written she could have easily just ended up being an Anya ripoff, but Acker takes it to a whole other level! Those two characters couldn't seem more different.
