Vista Ultimate had something called Dreamscene, which let you set a video as your desktop background. Apparently there are (or at least were) ways to enable dreamscene on Windows 7. I found one from 2011. It might just get you going.

Hey now. Some of us in the middle of New Mexico enjoy being able to see all these planes flying around. :D
They all just need to be done like my car. Headlights on all the time. Then there's a selector to allow you to turn nighttime lights on, nighttime lights off, and the auto mode, which turns nighttime lights on/off based off of a light meter on the dash. I leave it in auto mode and I'm happy. And all this coming…
I think with the advent of Carplay and Android Auto, we'll be seeing less manufacturer shenanigans as time wears on, and a better system overall. As for the sending directions to your car from a computer/phone, it can be useful in certain situations. If you're looking up a place to go from your computer, being able…
I see what you're saying. It sure does look like a tire, but like you said, there's really no way it could fit with the positioning of the engine and such. Good catch.
No problem. I have Dropbox set to auto upload all of my pictures just as a backup option. As I used it more, I found it to be extremely handy when I'm taking pictures of things to post on Craigslist or Ebay.
You would probably want to look at something that allows you remote control of your old phone. Two names that jump to mind are AirDroid and TeamViewer.
My mom just got a new Cherokee a couple of weeks ago. It's the middle model (Latitude?) and I've got to say I'm damn impressed with it. The ride is comfortable, the engine (4cyl) is rather peppy, and it's packed full of fancy new toys. Of course, she's coming from a 21 yo minivan, so it's quite the upgrade for her.
I'll go ahead and be the guy who says he likes this. But for a very different reason. As a tall person, my rearview mirror blocks part of my view out of the passenger windshield area. Usually to see stuff over there I have to hunker down a bit. But if I had a camera and screen instead of a mirror, I could move the…
As a New Mexican, I'll have to disagree with you. Breakfast burritos is where it's at. Second place would be breakfast stuffed sopaipillas. I'll give your tacos third place. And also, instead of salsa, put some red or green chile on those bad boys. It will make you much happier. Well, unless you can't handle…
Do you guys know of any apps like Themer that will support My Color Screen themes, but also supports resolutions of 2560*1440 and 2560*1600? I would love to play around with some new themes, but so far no love for high density displays other than the LG G3.
At my previous employer (computer repair shop) I was able to dig through our recycle pile and salvage whatever I wanted. I built a lot of computers this way and sold most of them on craigslist. While my salary itself wasn't the greatest, the side income definitely helped out.
Well, technically they're all Type B. Mini and Micro are just subsets of Type B.
It also depends on where you live. Here in New Mexico, gas prices have had a much more dramatic swing. There are some places that are getting close to $2/gal vs the nearly $3.50/gal we were seeing this summer. In your scenario above, assuming $2.25/gal, you're looking at a monthly cost of ~$132, which is a…
Cheap gas is good and bad. Obviously it's good right now while we're filling up (~$2.40/gal avg here in ABQ). But the flip side is we'll likely end up with people who buy big SUVs and trucks without knowing when or how much gas prices will go back up. But if gas prices do go back up to crazy levels, I'll be waiting…
Communists. And anybody else who hates freedom. Yup.
Whenever I fly I use my DOE issued badge from work. I need to carry it with me anyway for work purposes, so it works nicely as general ID too. Plus with the whole RealID thing sorta kinda enforced and my driver's license not conforming to it (New Mexico) it's a handy alternative to not carrying around my passport.
Strange. Whenever I fly I use my DOE issued badge and it works every time with no fuss. That being said, the federal government has been slowly working towards a unified badge for all federal agencies (HSPD-12) and that's what mine is.
