The confession dial would make things a lot more complicated...Correct me if I’m wrong, but wasn’t those 2 billion years just to get to the right point in time for Gallifrey? It didn’t age the Doctor and it didn’t age his memories either... each day was groundhog day, right?

they wouldn’t be using Flashbacks too much, we saw a Force vision, the future, the past, etc... and also they want new story, so the only flashback would be used to move the story forward for some critical point

There was very good reason to kill him off... he needed to be killed off to start the focus shift to the new characters. It also was needed to show what kind of a person Kylo/Ben Solo is! I think it’s a critical plot point in the movie, to tell you the truth. You and others may argue, but the only way the new stories…

that makes it PERFECT for a movie tie-in! You know they have to be original and change the plot to make the movies even more **Spectacular** (said in the same voice as the guy from Bejeweled) :-)
