The Doctor's TARDIS

I want to know how Captain Phasma escaped!!

and just the fact that evil Luke (I mean Ben/Kylo Solo) killed his father... ehh... I’ll forgive that because it’s the only way that this story was going to succeed! We needed a death of a legacy character for us to move beyond the best SW Trilogy there was, to date.

Ummm... the actors and characters were new and original... they did ECHO the original series, but they were in no way identical. Take the movie on its merits that it was a reboot of Star Wars, just as Disney and Lucas most likely agreed to. JJ Abrams was specifically chosen because he did a good job (in my opinion) of

The thing is, they still have these massive Star Destroyers (presumably inherited from the Empire)... seriously, they don’t need a planet that shoots “star stuff” onto other planetary systems to destroy them... it could have been handled in a completely different way.

ST Into Darkness wasn’t horrible. Yes, total ripoff of major characters, and some scenes were a bit too stupid (read reactor room), but the STORY was DIFFERENT Than STII:TWOK... quite different. Character backgrounds may be similar, but other than that, it still had many brilliant moments.

exactly my point.... read below:

I liked how it was a reboot of the SW original trilogy... even down to the 100% predictable flight of the X-Wings down a tight corridor on the way to blow something up! Shot-for-shot, Abrams did a good job of recreating lots of things from the original trilogy. And I think he did a fine job with Star Trek in the same

Oh... Lucas is involved, as is his portion of the merchandising that Disney is taking in... I’m sure he’s still in the financial loop!

Don’t Worry, the New Jean Gray will get back at Ramsey soon enough!

what are the kinds of books you usually consider “breezy” so I can understand your context... it sounds like a complex book, complex narrative... how easy is it to follow? are there recollections to previous sections so that you don’t constantly have to reread previous chapters?

also sounds very “Fringe,” if you remember that show! One of my faves that never lasted long enough.

Good review Charlie... I read an earlier review today on Comicbook.com and the reviewer gave it an amazing 10 thumbs up [assuming all of our fingers were thumbs :-) ]. I never expected this movie to be 100% as good as the originals from 1977 to 1983, but I’m glad that this movie made you smile... unlike the prequel

but Suzie was all in fun so that she could be in Game of Thrones.

nice! I love their site! it must have been from the Matt Smith Regeneration episode Time?? or from the Day of the Doc?

I feel it too.. and makes me more and more concerned about Star Wars too!

don’t you just think that they’d show a scene from Rogue One? Makes a ton of sense... timing and all...

talking about the X-Files... I Can’t wait!

you and me both, with the March! OMG, John Williams, you’re killing us!

only post-credit things they could have are for Rogue One... so who knows,.
