Wait... is this an episode of R U Talkin’ R.E.M. RE: ME?

Another super underrated REM track is Texarkana from Out of Time. Great, great song.

I wasn’t born until the mid-late 80s, long afterward but I’ve always adore the song. Finding out that it was about the decline and end of Stipe’s romantic relationship with Natalie Merchant made it even more poignant.

Once again, “Leave” never gets the credit it so rightly deserves.

“Man On The Moon” should be taken down a number of positions, and in place of it should go “Harborcoat” and “Try Not To Breathe”.  Sorry, I’m not taking questions at this time.

I know making a list like this is impossible but good lord  any list without either Harborcoat or Pretty Persuasion is a list not worth making.

Meanwhile, there’s now legislation to require forward cameras on vehicles because more children are being killed in “frontover accidents” where the driver can’t see the first 10-12 feet of ground ahead. Think about that. We’re now talking about cameras to see in the direction we generally look out of our vehicles.

DO IT! Tax the crap out of every single full sized truck, and SUV.

This. Not sure why this is omitted from the article. So many vehicles are now classified as trucks, SUVs, and crossovers because the regs incentivize the OEMs to do so. And we Americans can’t get enough of them. Everyone wins.

This article would have been a great place to link to Sharon Van Etten’s wonderful contributions to the A.V. Undercover series, if this web site properly maintained its content.

All that military gear that was given to local PDs seems to have been wasted if all it takes is a little tweet to wound them so.

The team only stated that they were against racial injustices and supported racial equality and activism. They didn’t accuse the police of racism or even mention Kenosha, Wis.

When your business model involves taking advantage of legal loopholes to screw people, rather than actually offering a valued service at a reasonable price, you should fail.

We are going to keep up the fight for a benefits model that works for all drivers and our riders Lyft shareholders and executives.”

They can’t make money if drivers are classified as employees.” Funny, how did taxi services work before them? I guess there is no other model than this...

If closing up shop while crying like a bitch the entire time, blaming everything but your own business model and then rolling back in after a couple of weeks once your lawyers find out the best way to give drivers just enough freedom to count as contractors while still controlling every aspect of the business humanly
