Your Grandmother’s ‘chicken not pie’ prolly wouldn’t win any “visual beauty bake” awards/medals but wager it’s a damn tasty dish that makes the kitchen smell delightful like all Grandma meals should :-)

Alabama has a few dry counties and a LOT of partially-dry ones (together they total almost half the counties). I don’t live in one, but what’s even more fucked up is that you can’t order liquor online and have it shipped here from out of state. You can’t order wine and have it shipped here. You can’t even order beer…
That looks tasty.
But would you eat chicken cobbler
Will there be one that feeds the noodles to me and another to wipe my butt?
Yes, this could be done more efficiently if it didn’t use a robot arm. However, folks want to see the robot arm, not a factory machine. Robot arms are the future, today.
Meh, you and your husband are a couple of kitchen pirates. Arm you both with some cleavers and you would quickly terminate it back to its robot overlords!
I think my mom used to make something kind of like this once in a while. I seem to remember it having peas in it. I also think it was with Pillsbury biscuits for the top. Now if I made it, I’d probably put mushrooms and spinach in it, because I put them in everything, lol.
I make a chicken pie - with pastry crust - that is a huge hit with anyone who eats chicken and pastry. Crust, layer of shredded cheddar, layer of sauteed mushrooms and onions, layer of barely cooked chicken breast (thinly sliced) or thigh meat, more cheese, layer of blanched broccoli (or spinach or other green veg you…
Agreed :-) When eating ‘sloppy joes’, a wkend childhood foodstuff staple while growing up in the northern suburban neighborhood of a SW Texas, USA!/Mexico bordertown, always made sure to add a slice of yellow “American cheese” & some chopped raw white onions for extra oompf & flavor. Bbq potato chips or bbq Fritos…
I was wondering the same thing. Kinda wondered if it was a Made-Rite type of sandwich with seasoning...like maybe a Man-Wich or something. Pretty sure part of the recipe is missing.
chili
I can’t believe I never actually encountered it growing up in the Midwest.
So the “Spangler Circus Peanuts 20 lb bulk” I just ordered from Amazon was a mistake?
I’m not sure what “ground beef mix” is, but if it’s in a form easily spooned, that sure as hell ain’t a burger.
Circus peanuts are awesome if you eat 2. Anymore and they are a bad idea. You should also spread out your consumption with a year break or so between peanut consumption.
Circus peanuts are the plutonium and coronavirus of candy all in one but ORANGE circus peanuts on Saint Patrick’s Day is a step too far...
I’ll take your word for it.
That’s pretty cool, apparently there are other distillers doing the same thing as well and I applaud them for it (with clean hands that I washed with soap and water). That’s the kind of free advertising I can get behind.
