Yes, that really is the worst part. This couple was probably happy in their home, but they knew that within a few yards there’s someone always plotting to make them miserable - for no reason.

Indeed.

Well, she has a grown son (but no husband), a patronage job, no friends in the neighborhood and definitely no joyful patio. Throw in some menopause and that absolutely horrifying color job on her head and we have a person who probably sees herself as a perpetual ‘victim’. Who knows? This might be her come to Jesus

That photo of the whipping post.... That is not what I expected. I’ll bet that thing is anchored six feet into the freakin’ ground.

This makes a lot of sense ):

I just Googled her. Daaamn!

Exactly. Karen probably can’t sleep at night thinking of all those Black-people-from-elsewhere coming over in droves. And it wouldn’t surprise me if some of those other neighbors were thinking the same thing too.

I can’t even count all of the neighborhoods I’ve lived in since the age of 18, and there is always SOMEONE ready to take up the burden of policing everyone else’s lives. I’ll bet Permit Karen thought everyone was on her side until this happened, lol.

White people do this shit to each other too. There’a a Karen, Becky, Patty on every few blocks. Or a Chad (who has lived here for THIRTY YEARS!). If there’s a little rust on your car or your lawn isn’t perfectly clipped, you’ll be scapegoated. We finally moved out of the ‘good’ neighborhoods into the far LESS good

Yes, we all get it: You’re special, lol.

So, basically, COVID19 is taking every ounce of fun out of eating out (in)? After reading other first-hand accounts, it all sounds like a paranoid filled chore. When I get panic attacks I can’t even swallow food, so I’ll just be at home.

And the LINES for the rest-room at clubs. Women taking those extra minutes to ‘touch up’ their make-up.... oh jeezus. People just lose all sense of caution when they’re drinking.

Have you ever worked as a server or in a hot kitchen? Employees are going to be extremely stressed, sweating, running around trying to breathe under those masks. They will probably be removing them when out of site. People sneeze, they cough, especially if they are sick but don’t know it (and can’t afford time off).

Maybe the only good thing to come out of this is that hand-shaking will become a thing of the past? I always thought head-bowing was more respectful anyway.

Absolutely. I seriously pity the employee who has restroom cleaning duty all day.

I didn’t even know that indoor dining was going to be allowed in IL. Our ‘numbers’ are very low, but I’m not going to risk it. There are always a few non-maskers at the grocery, and it is starting to get me riled. There seem to be two types: the first - “yeah I should be wearing a mask so I’ll yak on my phone or drag

Isn’t building your own stuff awesome? When our clothes dryer completely failed, we watched tutorials about how to diagnose and fix broken dryers. DIY is even more fun when you do it together (and the inside of a dryer is cool :)

“Moggy nosh?” That sounds.... humid?

Find a gal-pal and do some outrageously girly-things? And, of course, CAKE.

Yeah thanks. I’ll wait.
