I’ve seen Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, The Sting, Three Days of the Condor and All The President’s Men. I’ve even seen that episode of The Twilight Zone and A Bridge Too Far. I haven’t seen Jeremiah Johnson. I didn’t recognize Robert Redford from that GIF.

“I just saw this movie called The Net, with that girl from the bus.”

YOU! Kruger! My son tells me your company STINKS! You couldn’t smooth a silk sheet, if you had a hot date, with a babe...

Let me understand, you got the hen, the chicken and the rooster. The rooster goes with the chicken. So, who’s having sex with the hen?

Man, how sad, to have upset John Prine.

I mean, sure, once a week is once a week, and that’s a lot more sex than a lot of people are having (in or out of quarantine), but if more sex is possible, the husband should be up for exploring the possibilities, and if not, he should still be on board for helping his wife feel less stressed out.

Really, once a week seems pretty good to me too.  If people are working and homeschooling, and their kids aren’t ever going out anywhere, I don’t know how any more than that would work, logistically speaking.

29 years later and I still annoy the shit out of my mostly-non-KitH-watching coworkers by telling “My PEN!” whenever I misplace my pen.

Hm. Odyssey’s a great introduction to the “new” Assassin’s Creed approach that started with Origins. Both are equally good, IMO, and it’s all a matter of whether you want to explore Ptolemaic Egypt (meeting Caeser, Cleopatra, etc.) or Ancient Greece. Bayek has a stronger story than Kassandra, but the combat’s been

If children don’t learn about butts from Disney they’ll just learn about them on the streets.

Yeah, I don’t understand this “would anyone ever remember this” nonsense. I was 11 years old when this movie came out, and I damned well do remember Daryl Hannah’s naked ass.

America is getting both more prudish and more prurient at the same time

I don’t get this comment. She didn’t even have any cleavage showing in the “OK Boomer” TikTok.

Are you saying that she should be wearing a parka so she doesn’t get some mythical ‘unfair’ advantage because she has breasts?

You might be too old to get streamer culture (I almost certainly am) but let’s not denigrate her

I tried to be optimistic about Prine’s chances after he was stabilized but somehow I couldn’t manage it. I felt it was a long shot after beating cancer that unfortunately hit his respiratory system.

I grew up with John Prine’s music. In Spite of Ourselves was my parents’ wedding song. His music will always remind me of road trips up and down Vancouver Island. Just John Prine and giant forests. I can’t imagine what his family is going through, not being able to be there, or honour his memory properly.

Lesson learned: we must be Better than Ezra

Having seen the movie, I’d say no. It’s awful, and not even in a randomly titillating way.

I, too, am not above such things, which is how I know the answer to your question is a resounding no.

It’s not a great word to use. It’s ableist and insensitive at best. But it’s possible that Dan didn’t get the memo - I think even people who would never use the “r word” don’t always think about the origins of spaz.

I’m currently playing Nier Automata which is almost an anti-scenic apocalypse but I think its washed out color palette is used to great effect throughout the game (especially when there’s suddenly a wonderfully vivid splash of color thrown into the muddy visuals)
