Good points, thanks :) Yep, in the UK, tuition isn't as high, but it's still going to cost tens of thousands to go back to school as I've already had the government cover the cost of the degree I left, so I am taking it very seriously.

That's interesting, thanks. I didn't even realise that there were that many people

Sorry to hear that :( Best of luck with finding a new job, I'm sure you'll pull through! That's true, we just need to hang in there *high five*

I haven't actually really spoken to my doctor much... I did once but they were undismissive (my local GP - UK general practitioner - is bad). I haven't tried any kinds of

That's a great positive perspective on things (being the experienced ones). I'll try to think that way. Thank you very much.

Sorry to hear about your problems. :S *hugs*

Yep, even seeing my peers who are still at uni and my age makes me feel older than them.

That sounds really good! A system for everyone. I hope school works out well for you. :D

Yep, I'll definitely join some societies when I finally start there. I didn't do this the first time round (was introverted then) and ended up missing out a lot... And ah, that's bad! Glad she realised in time though :)

Thank you :) That's true, I guess.

Thank you! :D I'm hoping it will be like that for me too - making the most of being an older student. Yep, I definitely have my shit together more than I did at uni, even though I'm not earning anywhere near as much as I would've had I graduated and become a lawyer. Thanks so much for sharing, that makes me feel a

That sounds amazing. I wish we had that in the UK - sounds a lot more flexible and focused on education.

Oh, cool! Maybe I should apply for a degree in Sweden :P Thanks again

Thank you :) Yep, I know I won't regret it. Why do you reckon older students are more successful, btw?

We can do things called Access Courses (pre-university/high school) courses for mature students in the UK before uni, which I'm thinking of doing as I haven't studied properly for a while.

Thanks. And I guess so, yeah :P

I'm one of those girls who wanted to get married early, though, and it doesn't seem like it's going to happen.

Thank you :) I actually am European (British) and I've heard it's quite common to start college at that age in America - over here it's less so though bar the odd gap year.

I will do, yep. Best of luck btw :D

Thanks so much :) Yep, I definitely don't want to be a lawyer any more.

How are you finding school? Best of luck with it btw :D

Thank you so much :) Best of luck to you too!

If you don't mind me asking, any tips on dealing with depression/anxiety besides going to college? In order to pay for a couple of years of it, I first need to earn some more money (because of the way UK student finance works...) so I need to deal with my career.

Thanks! Good luck. How come there's a range of ages in Sweden btw? *curious* :D

Great last line. That's true, it is about what I want I guess :)

Best of luck. How did you find it the second time round? :)

I don't really think age matters so much for postgraduate degrees - I shared a flat with graduate students the first time I was at university, and a lot of them were in their 30s etc. I guess because PG education is often expensive students often spend a lot

Thank you! I will email this to... my friend.

Thank you! I'm in the UK, so I've been drinking for a while now, but I guess it is still kind of young. I'm just concerned about my age (a lot of women even get married in their early 20s, but I barely feel OK on my own and a boyfriend would just complicate things - in no mood to date right now).

I know - I have had

Thanks. GL with your new job :)

What age did you start college if you don't mind me asking?

I'm ridiculously stressed re: my career right now. Switching careers and trying something new that is so hard. It's taking up all my time.

And I want a boyfriend. Never had one (going on 21 next month; family problems/depression have taken up SO MUCH of my life) and I know in my heart I don't have the time nor energy

Where can... my extremely close friend... find said feminist-friendly stuff? ;)

There's a guy I'm doing some contracted work for that I think (based on the time we met last week) like likes me and is an absolute douchecanoe. Not from the same firm as me, though. Advice?
