It sounds like you guys have some good friendships going on already. I'd cherish these as well as looking for new ones - even speaking as a huge extrovert, sometimes quality > quantity regarding friendships. And definitely change schools if you think that will help.

Does your husband have any friends who have kids of a similar age who could maybe socialise with them?
Switching up schools might help with making new friends for them in general, too, yep :)
You could sign your kids up for after school clubs etc. without socialising so much yourself? IMO it won't matter to them if their friends are kids of your friends or w/e :)
