No, I get the finances of it. I get it that you can’t get a mega project going without Chinese financing and distribution, for example, and that you need the patronage of a younger demographic and that that all means PG-13 purgatory and often something overtly formulaic.

Not every story/movie needs to be one of the “highest-grossing movies of all time”. Sometimes a movie can just be one of the “best movies of all time”.

I enjoyed The Catch for a while, but I did eventually drop out. I don’t think I’m happy living in Shondaland - I’ve flunked out of all those series.

Maybe Joe is called away to other projects or the show won’t hold together for any of a number of reasons. I don’t know how to evaluate the Cartoon Network.
