It's not that complicated. For driveways, shovel down the center then proceed to push the snow from the cleared center to either side. Minimal lifting is involved, especially with this shovel.

If you want a tracking device you need something built specifically for it. I use a Suunto Ambit2. Granted the calories burned stat is probably not exact, but everything else is legit.

You probably already know what times of day suit you best, but if not, it's worth exploring since being tired will hurt your performance.
