There's no point in buying these for mp3 player, ipod/iphone/idevice playback. The majority of people listening to music on these devices aren't listening to high quality files, they're listening to crap-tastic mp3s and apple loss-less files.

Who cares what other phones ship with? Is iPhone 4S performance hindered? If no, then move on. If yes, then start bitching.

The price APPLE pays for the components is lower than the rest of the industry. In the same sentence it's noted that their margins are higher, so yeah, they're not passing the savings on to the customers.

I can see other devices that pop in and are navigable within Finder, but see nothing within iTunes and on the Apple TV 2 with regards to home sharing.

Apple's home sharing is not working at all for me (Mac Pro w/10.6.x hardwired to router and Apple TV 2 on WiFi).
