Stick to cars!

Tom, if this unfortunate situation continues, may we have bears?

Can you let me know when you will be returning to sports coverage so I can go back to checking in once or twice per day? I have a lot to do today at work and all of these posts about non-sports topics are distracting because I Must Read Every Single One of Them. Whereas with the sports stuff I really only care if its

I threw this together a while back... still relevant, I think.

Dearest Mother,

If you had a disease that killed over 33,000 people a year, the government would take active measures to address that.

It’s not perfect. We get it. We also get that far more often than not, VAR is right and it prevents the kind of horseshit incorrect calls that used to happen in every damn game in these tournaments.

You forgot one:

Just do the college overtime rules. It’s already set up for you. Just do it. Jesus.

Then make the overtime rule: if the offense fails to score a touchdown, the defensive team wins. You’re handicapping one team without a reward to make them whole. If the Chiefs win the coin toss and go down and score, you’d still be saying “Pats had 4 quarters to win.” But only one team gets 4+ quarters on offense,

College overtime rules or GTFO, IMO anyway...

CHANGE THE OVERTIME RULES. We all lose when an enormous amount of weight is placed on a coin toss, and why would you ever structure things to give just one team the chance to break the tie?

I really don’t like the rule where both teams don’t get the opportunity to take the field during overtime. A team can respond if the opposing team takes a field goal, but they can’t respond with a touchdown if the other teams scores seven?

Since it invariably is going to come up, I don’t understand how people can scream “this is a witchhunt” or “people are too sensitive” or “this is SJW nonsense” when time and again big gaming/tech companies have proven to be navel gazing, bro-clubs who alienate anyone who isn’t a straight white male.

It’s not

it may not be the Jean-Luc you know and love
