Apparently.
Apparently.
FEAR, although to be fair it came out a little later and wasn't anywhere near as hyped (a good thing in my opinion).
I guess a high five is out the question?
Yes, because trapping you in room while a cutscene played absolutely bought the medium foward (and no I don't necessarily prefer cutscenes).
Ha I'm one of many. I can accept that, I rarely if ever feel the need to get on anybodies back about things they like that I don't. I was just putting my thoughts about the game out there, and it blew up in my face, again I can accept that.
*Rolls eyes.*
Maybe. But when your a dev known for making narratively led games I expect at the very least a decent plot, which in my honest opinion HL2 lacked. At least Valve had apolagized with Portal I guess.
I just was a little disappointed in HL2 and gave my opinion, expected everybody to move on with their life but nope.
No, but at least it told you enough of the plot to keep you interested, in HL2 it was go here to let us show off our physics - again like the majority of games, color me disappointed.
And yet your not being gang raped for having different opinion, holy moly=D
I would say they would need a consistent story to tell before they try to try to finish it.
Actually I was trying the opposite, everyone could have just accepted my take on it and moved on with their life, but nope it wasn't to be.
Ok how much did Valve resolve with the episodes? Not much at a guess, educate me what did get answered with the plot wise?
OK, so you come out what was essentially a coma with no contact with the outside world and everybody suddenly reveries the player as a hero? That's one off the top my head, it's been years since I've played it, there are probably more *shrug.*
Not really, just not sucking on Valves D like everyone else (apparently).
No I just didn't as much as you did, it has nice physics and NPC animation and in places a really, really good atmosphere, but the plot was really little more than an excuse to use those new elements (with little explaination - get to Ravenholm because why?), just didn't click with me. Gad you got into it though.
LOL I'm just replying to them, and hardly desperate... Just expected, sadly.
No just failed to live up to my expectations, I'm sorry I didn't realize that holding a different opinion was a capital crime, besides differing opinions allow Valve to improve things.
Yes because the utter lack of plot resolution is a good thing, in some cases it can be, but in place's it just seemed like Valve really couldn't be bothered to tie up plot threads, again in my opinion.
It good you enjoyed but to me it really didn't feel like it measured up to the hype... And the lack of plot resolution still makes me angry (no not episode three).
