Oh no!

The lack of brick and mortar to temper the bots really is a major cause of the current situation.

I haven’t seriously being trying to score a Ps5 this season, but I have been looking a fair bit for kicks during my downtime and... wow. The scalper situation is just out of control this year, which should hardly be a surprise given COVID. As others have pointed out, retailers likely DGAF since they got their pay out,

The photos on Craiglist here in NYC with these mutants who have stacks of Playstion 5's in their living room for $1500-5000 a piece are hilarious. Between them and the “due to Covid, I have to ship, just uh, leave a full deposit on this site for me...” I hope they all suffer the same fate as the last few gen scalpers

I have to thank Wario64 for me getting one. I wasn’t going to even try but someone retweeted an alert from them about the Walmart pre-orders on Sep 17 and I figured why not. Once I got one in my cart Walmart said it was out of stock but I kept refreshing for a few minutes and it finally went through. I kept expecting

they should do it how apple does, theyve had their reservation system figured out for YEARS

There is, it’s called a reservation. You get on a waitlist, pay upfront, and retailer X fulfills shipments in the order they received them when stock is available. Voilà, no more people sitting at their computers endlessly refreshing pages or fighting with bots to snatch up the one or two consoles any given retailer

It’s releasing for next-gen this year, but as backward compatible. However, they boast it runs better. The proper next-gen versions will be out some time next year.

I had a Destiny edition, a Pro, and a Slim. The Slim is solid as a rock. They finally, thankfully, figured out the bugs by that version.

The PS4 definitely has build quality issues. My PS4 has been getting crazy loud for nearly as long as I’ve owned it. The machine seems to eat thermal paste like hummus. I’ve had mine professionally repaired once, just to replace the thermal paste and give everything a once over. It helped for a while, but it didn’t

Our guild last night had a very deep conversation about being bandied about and emasculated by the guys from Avatar. The final verdict: We’ll take it as long as they become an allied race.

Sometimes they grab you like a limp sausage as well, I was a Ken doll in their tender but firm blue hands

My favorite thing about discussing Soulsborne games is finding out which bosses a player struggled with. Gascoigne seemed to give all of my friends that played it trouble, but I beat him the first try. But it took me FOOOOORRRREVER to beat Vicar Amelia and Rom. I felt thrilled when I finally beat those two. And don’t

Yeah I enjoyed this a lot more than the Almighty. For one thing it was shorter. But for another, it pulls at some emotional threads in the way that the other event didn’t. The scene on the director in particular is a nice little callback.

The last console I bought was a PS3. Ugly as sin. Put it on a shelf under the TV. Never had to look at it. Played games just fine. That’s all that mattered.

I’m gonna miss mars, its always my favorite planet to explore in games andI hope it doesn’t gather too much dust in the vault.

Yea, it was a nice surprise and I think they definitely learned from the first event re: setting expectations and also how long and drawn out to make it.

For a small affair, that wasn’t bad. A nice little tease for what’s next.

The more I see the ps5 the more it grows on me. My initial negative reaction was so strong that it took awhile to overcome, but i’ve warmed on it, and it was really interesting to hear the designers intent. I appreciate the bold look.

literally the whole reason all the consoles are increasing in size and wonky shape is to prevent people from doing exactly this and guaranteeing overheating problems due to lack of adequate air circulation and yet here we are still in the fucking circus for the third generation in a row smdh my head
