My wife says that there are only two Subaru models, one for yobs and the other for lesbians with dogs. We have had the Lesbaru for 9 years, a sturdy, practical wagon that handles mall parking lots and steep logging roads with equal lack of drama. The yob side of me has at times yearned to dabble in the WRX end of the

Although this is gross and stupid, I like that they are the furthest thing from boring white appliance cars. I’ve always wanted one wrapped like it was a Star Trek shuttle with scorch marks on the side. Or maybe a giant brain (perfect for a Beetle)

Nice plug

When crying racism, it is useful to ask if a non-vis min person would be treated differently and/or if different laws apply.

OMG never thought of the BMW comparison before. I used to love looking at 3 series sedans as a youth, admiring their taut efficient purposeful designs. But having to share the road with the BMW driver, who is reliably if not invariably aggressive and rude in traffic, has turned me off that whole marque. Hopefully the

Isn’t that a sweet looking car? Swoopy, lithe, and narrow pillars. It’s funny that a car that is touted as “almost, sorta” self-driving has fantastic visibility.

He survived arrest? Why?

Um...writer displeased

Yes and no. It was fun to see MI done by different directors. But given that Cruise and McQuarrie are joined at the brain these days, I would rather have more McQuarrie MI than none at all. And, indeed, I think they are on a spectacular run.

Good lists...for me, Godfather, Castle In the Sky, Princess Mononoke, Starship Troopers, The Wrath of Khan...I’m probably over 20 viewings for each. And MULAN which I had to watch every other day for like 3 years because of my daughter. But I was not really watching it per se.

Now, this is the same Land Cruiser that in the rest of the world is a true utility vehicle, right? Readily converted into safari truck, ambulance, cop car, mobile gun turret, terroristmobile? How can it be an $80k luxo vehicle here????

I see this car around Vancouver all the time, or a version of it. It looks more like a full fairing bicycle than anything else, but hey, maybe it catches on. Sure would be easy to park!

Six seater = bench seats? Pretty feasible ...no transmission tunnel, could put the selector up on the dash.

Roadster I was to create a brand halo and also to raise funds for the next phase. I suspect that Roadster II’s profits are needed because Tesla is a serious cash burner. Also, perhaps, because Roadster I was half Lotus, and maybe Roadster II is a purer example of the brand.

There is a breath control element as well. Realistic crying includes an exhalation that is deeper than normal - this causes the voice to sound ragged. Body language is also a part - the plausible crier resists the impulse, whereas the obvious faker goes straight into it.

I don’t need three pairs of trail runners either but somehow they got into my house. I understand the need to lock up the deadly things to keep them away from children, like the car keys, or probably half the things in peoples’ medicine cabinets. But a policy of telling people not to buy things they don’t need to have

Many a career has been facilitated with an occasional bedroom act, indeed. So why the defensive tone? Telling people to look away is generally a successful strategy to make them look closer.

I would think this is great news. We should also encourage them to take up free climbing, raw water consumption, and racquetball with live grenades.

My family had the 1978 Pontiac Parisienne, which is this car, plus a half-cover of the rear wheels to make the flanks look even fatter. I have to say, kind of miss bench seats. And the then-exciting innovation of push-button radio tuning.

Nice lil burn on Car and Driver - putting the Torch in Torchinsky. Are you old enough to remember when PJ O’Rourke was writing for them and the letters to the editor page would regularly see the Ed fearlessly mocking the writer, Motor Trend, Road and Track, and/or publisher David E Davis? Where Patrick Bedard would
