Essentially. It’s one hell of a Morton’s Fork. Either way, Bioware is fucked. You’ve got the red option, which is they’re eaten by Unicronic Arts. Next is the Blue Option, which, hahaha, you don’t have enough resource points for. Finally, we come to the green, where they merge with the beast and just pump out Anthem

It doesn’t, it absolutely doesn’t have to work like those. But it’s kinda bitter that their first stab at something different is what they’re treating as their magnum opus, letting other games like ME: Andromeda suffer because of it. More bitter of course when nothing they’ve shown so far seems appealing to you.

Nah, I totally agree. Bioware should stick to what they do best--single player games with deep, rich stories that interconnect between games. I honestly think they are shooting themselves in the foot making this their next big game. Sure, maybe you’ll make a big profit, but the die hard fans you’ve had who have bought

yes but as long as EA owns bioware, they wont let them do games like kotor without adding on dumb things like online features and microtransactions. EA doesnt give a shit about story, just squeezing as much money out of a studio as they can. they bought bioware for their name and past success. they plan to milk that

Bioware is really putting their neck out with this. I can’t imagine people who played Bioware games for the characters and world building ala ME and DA series will be convinced to play this. I’m not.

So they’ve got NPCs with slow dialogue trees they can dripfeed, and you can make the NPCs like or dislike you with some of your choices, but never enough that they’ll actually stop selling you things. On the plus side they can add more dripfeed dialogue later.

I’m not a big fan of the Liberal Party myself, but know that if we had Conservatives in power, they would have let Trump make any demands and acquiesced to them. I completely agree that no deal is better than a bad deal. We still have one major card to play, and if NAFTA goes south, our government has the right to

Sadly, like mobile F2P shit, we don’t want them but we’re in the minority - especially as far as spending goes.

A thousand time, this. It’s pretty obvious that EA is using the Bioware label to push a story-lite looter shooter grid-a-thon, with a diverse array of microtransactions and a single progression path to keep it nice and simple for the most mass appeal possible.

Look, it’s simple:

I’m sure they know exactly what they are making. They just don’t want to outright say they want to make a grind heavy games-as-a-service shooter.

Stop. Giving. Us. MMO. Lite. Games.

Don’t worry, even though Anthem will review well and sell well, it won’t sell 15 million copies that EA thinks it should and will shutter Bioware before 2020.

I’m going to disagree with you on this one. They’ve literally said “Hey, we’re sorry about Mass Effect Andromeda, but just wait, Anthen is going to be awesome.”

Like, if your studio is getting pummeled that your last story RPG wasn’t good enough, you don’t hold up a loot shooter and say “Don’t worry, this will be

I’m just not feeling this game. Mass Effect seemed to have this colorful air, but this feels like any other regular edgy space shooter. I get destiny vibes and that is not a good thing imho. It just seems to lack personality and the feel of not taking itself too serious. ( ME and DA had this cheekyvibe )

Finally, after years of criticism that all the branching storylines in Dragon Age and Mass Effect didn't branch ENOUGH, BioWare is giving fans exactly what they’ve always wanted: a story where your choices have no impact whatsoever!

FUCK YOU TOM BAKER IS GOD AND I HOPE HE STRANGLES YOU WITH HIS FUCKING SCARF YOU DEGENERATE CHODE!

So....this reminds me alot of a FPS. I’m not sure on how to feel? It looks nice and exciting. Like a Deus Ex.

Fantasy Game are Better when they are written and executed well. lol
