They can still salvage the situation, I agree. But those C-listers and unknowns are absolutely spanking the iconic characters in ROI, performance against expectations, and in many cases real numbers. It’s not “pushing a narrative” to say WB isn't happy right now, whatever public face they're putting on it.

WB was counting on BvS to kickstart a Marvelesque business shift and was relying on BvS profits to plug a lot of holes from some big bets that bit them in the ass.
