I hate quest logs, and I’m happy this game predates them...

Most people hated this system and towards the second half of the game every character began to feel same-y and boring.

Oh man, I bought that game on impulse and loved every moment of it. I can easily see why many did not.

Summons were so... pointless. In fact most times it was a detriment to use them, since if you got killed there was no party members active to raise you and you get hit with a “game over”.

Played this game twice all the way through back in the day. It may not be the “best” FF game, but it was by far my favorite. I’ve been singing its praises to everyone since then, but I’ve been met with a lot of negativity.

Agreed on all points. Andromeda is a pretty good game and I loved the direction they took with science/exploration over the previous military theme.

I’ve always wanted to play this. I tried the 14 day demo before Heavensward existed, and I picked it up again for a couple months to play with a friend later on. But, the main obstacle is actually WoW. If you’ve been playing the same MMO for 14 years like I have, it makes it extremely difficult to start an entirely

SotC Remake: Coming 2026

I hope they focus on storytelling for sure. Really bring that RPG portfolio they have into this genre. Multiplayer/co-op seems to be the focus, but imagine that with really great quest design.

We can’t really judge the entire game by a 6 minute clip though. I mean, no one thought Overwatch was worth anything until that open Beta happened and then everyone imploded in on themselves with excitement for it.

Dragon Age 4 is still coming so there is more to look forward to. :)

They could be the first to bring the RPG to games like Destiny or Warframe. It could feel more like Mass Effect than it looks, if that makes sense.
