I’ve been in the automotive biz, and selling tires as well for over 15 years, NEVER heard of ADDING siping to a tire as an add on at the time of sale.

I was wondering the same thing, even at the STATE level there’s laws against width vs. lighting, and protruding loads, and TIRES being covered by fenders.

Samcrac is a hack. This car and others he’s ‘fixed’ and put back on the road were salvaged cars and his repairs are questionable at best.
