I bought before I retired and paid cash. Did not want a payment going in to retirement. I also thought ahead and got Full time AWD. I did buy the cheapest model with zero options to avoid all the annoying driver assist crap. Hard to do! 

Not on my vehicles. I don’t even like 17". I see so many damn nice cars (Chip Foose Jag at SEMA this year for example) that the giant wheels and super low pro tires makes it look stupid. And with tires like that they ride like dog shit.

My truck has 5 fuses and no safety equipment so I’m good to go. Also it only goes just fast enough that if you pile it up when the manual drum brakes fail you have just enough inertia to shove the steering column (non-collapsible) through your safety belted (no shoulder harness) carcass. 

Great car but for those less familiar with hot rods the McMullen 32 encompasses all there is to be known about a true roadster....blown engine, flames, parachute, pinstripes, Moon tank and more....it won drag racing, set dry lakes records and lived on the streets.

My first vehicle was a motorcycle. when you only have two wheels you figure out quickly they better be mounted up right with good rubber on them. I could never understand anyone having loose lug nuts, makes no sense. It also tells me there are other things done half assed on the vehicle.

I believe it about Tesla. I drove to SoCal from the SF Bay area Friday. In a few hundred miles I passed no less than 6 transporters full of Teslas headed south. That is a lot in a few hours time especially on a Friday.
