The sod war was a repeat from at least the year before (Sod War I?), which I witnessed between acts at Day on the Green 1991: Metallica, Queensrÿche, Faith No More and Soundgarden.

No disrespect in saying I don’t remember them at all, as there’s lots I don’t remember of that time.

I dont have a reason, but I’m blaming this entire situation on Lars.

Men ALWAYS find it flattering that they’re being crushed on even if they don’t reciprocate. Given that there’s professional stuff here I don’t want to say you should be direct, but in general it’s good to be direct with dudes.

If you’re big into college sports, all your opinions are not worth taking seriously.

I like to bet $1 or $2 on exactas because when you actually hit one you feel like a dang genius.

Deadspin had a story a while back about some sports organization that made people pay to go to a basically fake job fair that made it sound like they’d have a chance of working in sports.

I’m going to the local horse track tonight. Any tips on how to bet? I usually bet a couple bucks on horses based on how much I like their names. This strategy is not always successful...

The thing is, this is like when Fox news tried to call out The Daily Show for not being “Fair and balanced.” That’s not The Daily Show’s slogan, just like winning isn’t the fucking goal of the “dirtbag left.” Winning is the goal of centrist, career politicians. That and claiming to “go high” are the only currency

Grew up in SFla and 2 Live Crew/Tipper Gore/Sherrif Nick Navarro controversy was in full gear at the time. The sheriff of the county arrested at least 10 record store owners for selling their music. He also sent cops to threaten any record store that carried their records with arrests for disseminating obscenity

Probably the greatest song of my generation.

Me so mourny.

Damn this one hits hard. Used to work for a rap group in the late 90's early 2k’s and 2 Live Crew (minus Luke) opened for us and traveled alongside us all over the country. Ice was as humble and cool a dude as you would ever find. Just a really great guy. RIP my man, a true pioneer and good guy.

Probably a bad thing, but we have to start righting the ship somewhere.

You’re so unbelievably wrong.

I was seriously beyond excited for the new stadium. Candlestick was cold and cramped and never meant for 60,000+ people. It lacked appropriate bathrooms, parking and concessions for the amount of people who showed up. That said, I can say, 100% Levis is worse. Not sure if it’s the location, the people or the bullshit

I want to print this out, frame it, and make it mandatory reading for all parents, old and new.

THANK YOU! We have several breweries where I live and none of them really serve food, just a place to go drink their beer and hangout. I used to love going to them when they first popped up but now they seem more and more like a god damn daycare. Like if you bring an infant who’s going to sleep the whole time I guess

Almost broke my neck nodding my way through your post. My kids are the age now when they can be left at home but when they were younger, I didn’t take them to the damn bar. Sorry, young parents, that phase of your life is OVER, at least for the next decade. Find something else to do with the kids that maybe isn’t

Too paranoid to trust a babysitter, so how about a bar full of drunk, disinterested strangers? Haaaaate
