This lady I work with in her early 60s, stupid rich, and without kids and she drives a GLE as her daily but she absolutely LOVES her E Class wagon. The SUV is largely disposable for her, but her wagon is her baby. The wealthiest people absolutely drive Mercedes Wagons.

Forza 4 will forever be my favorite because it was the last with cockpit view in split screen local multiplayer. My best friend and I spend sooooo many hours in high school racing each other.

The Imp-ish quality can be found in the 6 speed Fit. I love mine.

The Accord is a great car! But some people do a lot of city driving/commuting. I see a lot of Touring trim Civics driven by Northern Virginia commuters. Also crossovers are the new minivans and lots of young dads don’t ever want to be caught in one.

A paint to sample Golf R is what you want.

Lots of people buy Civics because they still get better gas mileage than a CR-V (even if the difference is slight) and the base price is cheaper. Also very few people get top trim civics. 28 grand is not reflective of how expensive Civics are.

You wouldn’t have a sunroof or heated steering wheel or other options etc. The fact of the matter is loaded regular economy cars are more popular than their performance versions.

I think of the hot hatches. Older drivers/lawyers/capitol hill types get the Gold R’s (see ton’s with the tuning shop badges on them) and the younger tech bros get the Civic Type R’s and put lots of Animé decals on them lol. Tbh I love the Type R and would love to replace my fit with one one day!

I think the reason Honda went this route with the Civic Type R’s design was to keep the ricers from putting their own questionable bodykits on them. I can’t say I blame them. All the ricers ruin their STI’s and FR-S’s instead.

They are very very common among young tech professionals in Northern Virginia. Lots of Golf R’s are sold here too. I’ve only seen a handful of Focus RS’s and Veloster N’s however.

Wild Hogs is a far more accurate representation of the average Harley owner than Easy Rider/Sons of Anarchy will ever be

I used to think these cars looked so fresh and cool. Nowadays they look absolutely hideous

Who are buying 911s and GT-R’s? Mostly well heeled gen-x’ers and millenials (a lot of us are engineers/doctors/finance peeps etc.). We just don’t want Corvettes because they have the worst fanbase. I don’t want a Challenger/Charger either for the exact same reason (the dads I knew growing up who drove chargers were

Nissan and Porsche seemed to have no problem courting Tech bros to buy 911's and GT-R’s. Chevy just wants a piece of that pie.

I have driven a manual s197 gt on a backroad and it was a ton of fun but I honestly thought I could go faster in my fit. I’m not disagreeing with you though. I’m only 22 and would love a Miata or S2000 or BMW 1 series one day as a weekend toy. I can only afford to have one car to do everything right now.

A factory Fit SI is my dream car. If once I drive my Fit’s wheels off and I need to replace it, I am already thinking of ways to ruin it with a 1.5t swap and have it be the basket case project car I put too much money into.

It’s got real character. I originally hated it’s intake honk but I grew to enjoy the fact it actually makes a unique sound (it’s different from a lot of four cylinders) but one that is completely drowned out by music or the radio at highway speeds (unless you ruin it with an exhaust). I sometimes regret getting it

I have a 2015 Fit Manual, and it’s about as fun as one could reasonably expect an economy car to be. But on the right back road, it makes me cackle like nothing else I have ever driven. Plus I can hammer on it in northern Virginia and not have to worry about breaking the speed limit and it’s completely stress free
