My 2 Subaru’s have been great but there are just Stage 2 with a bit extra nothing too fancy. I think the elevation I live had has helped with longevity too.....stock turbos can’t hit 18psi at 7000ft. With the snow around here Subarus are worth it.

SO then side feeds aren’t a problem they are just something to upgrade and you have to upgrade injectors anyway for a bigger turbo.

It’s not an expectation but it happens to some cars that weren’t maintained as well, and that would be true of any car brand. The people who do no maintenance seem to complain the most when something breaks. Head gasket isn’t a major failure it’s a $20 gasket if you do it yourself the cost is very low Unlike other

I would rather have a gasket fail then a piston ring or rod bearing. No mechanical part can last forever do people expect cars to run forever without any work?

When shit break is a great excuse to upgrade! if you have the heads off port them....etc.

HOA’s are for people who are afraid to talk to their neighbors and work things out and for people who think they know whats best for you and your property.

The thing no one things about is there are bears in Auburn....so someone better leave out the pourage.

There’s nothing wrong with them if you maintain them and tune them properly. People complaining about failures after 150k are just here to complain, If it breaks drop a built motor in Subaru engines aren’t even that expensive.

Yeah shit happens I can attest to that......and Headgaskets can go on any engine....at least until we 3D print or CNC a block and heads as one piece and no gasket.

Oil is the love juice of cars.

Most people aren’t complaining about a gasket failure after 150k miles.

Couldn’t agree more!

Yeah noticed my oil like flicker at startup once, had it towed to the dealership and check it, was a cracked pick up tube, I was lucky i noticed.

Exactly!

The dog hair I can confirm, head gaskets I can confirm for NA cars (knock on wood) turbo models have been good to me and my friends.

07+ was mostly piston issues due to fueling issues., other years tend to overheat a piston in the back as well, but it’s not usually head gaskets unless the owner never changed oil and coolant, as they tend not to drain as completely in a boxer engine when you turn it off so fresh fluids are important.

EJ253 (NA) had issues, not the turbo models EJ255 or EJ257 (STi). 07+ had fueling issues because of the open loop closed loop transition easily fixed with tuning.

Theres a VW TDI wagon under that pile of snow in the last pic.

This is a proven strategy for Tesla miss deadlines and the stock goes up......, Tesla Fanboys are just like Trump supports, They don’t care what the facts are they care that something they want to hear was said.

I’ve driven an SHO, it was nice but not good enough to make up for FWD. both the best FWD cars would be better in RWD....I’ll stick to oversteer.
