Went back and checked, not in the early 2000's which is when the Tahoe pitched in the article was from. It was F150 based back then, then became Ranger based in ‘07.

Pretty sure the Excursion was the Suburban 2500 equivalent, in that they were based on the Super Duty and Silverado 2500, respectively. Hence why the Exc. and SD had the exact same nose.

I should have clarified, I’m talking relative to how all these lined up when the Tahoe brought up in the article was built. From the late 90's until mid 2000's, The Explorer was the short bed F-150 the way the Tahoe was a short bed Silverado 1500, the Expedition/Suburban were longbeds, and the Excursion/Suburban 2500

Ok, this I’m certain isn’t right. The Explorer bounced around between Rangie/F150/Taurus related, but the Excursion was always the equivalent to a 2500/3500 Suburban, hence why they shared the schnoz with the super duty.

“for a while” was my point. The equivalent generation Tahoe mentioned in the article  (‘99 to ‘05) would have matched up with when the Explorer was just the short-bed F-150, and  was the Expedition was the long bed.

At that point, wasn’t the Expedition just a stretched Explorer the way the Tahoe/Suburban were and still are?

SOMEBODY FINALLY RECOMMEDED ONE OF MY LARGE ADULT SONS

hey man, think you forgot the “/s”

Indeed. I’ve had the best of both worlds being deemed essential in construction. Our office never closed down, but we were told “work from home if possible.” We were able to 90% of our jobs from home, and pop in to the office and job sites for a few hours a week. We’ve been back full time since July but the owners

This begs the question though: What if you worked from home like this but the rest of the world was in non-pandemic mode? Your kids still got to go to school, restaurants were open, no limits on number of people in a store? Real estate (both commercial and residential) would get turned on its head, but you could make

Lots of people have given you the accurate answer that it still is a big fun sandbox to play in (even if you aren’t doing the microtransactions) but nobody mentioned one of the biggest things:

Hell yes. As much as it was time for him to move on, I still miss that looney.

By far and away the most facepalm thing about the car. How tame DT made this thing sound in every other way was the best thing about it. Get this shit out of here.

This is cool for two reasons:

My large Italian grandfather had a white one, and I can only imagine how intimidating he looked when he got out.

This is kinda pre-land yacht phase but I don’t care.

Awesome find, Rob. This is really cool because its so Radwood that it isn’t. A mint version would probably be nuts on Bring A Trailer.

how does a company think that not paying a driver while having all the expense of owning a vehicle will make it profitable.

Lmao, here to verify as of 4 months ago. My father and I went halfsies on a 2010 4runner with 160k miles (both of us have cars but need a truck sporadically).

I leased a 2016 right when this generation came out and I swear to god, I’ve never driven a car that makes you more aware of when it is downshifting.
