Ehh, while it is just supposed to be a beater, I’m a little conscious of the “Old Man Car” aspect of it. At least that’s how my dad is trying to talk me out of it. Getting it in black makes it unmistakably an old Limo Service car.

Mostly agree, but there are some outfits that do a very good/legit conversion. It’s hard to say from what we see here if that is the case. And I’d be particularly nervous with a Challenger because it already is so goddamn heavy in the first place, who knows what sort of changes actually have to be made to make it…

Regardless of the engine choice, I’d never comfortably tow anything significant above like 40 on that short of a wheelbase. This really isn’t the truck for towing anything north of a small fishing skiff.

Here here. Until someone shows me the data that the total number of pedestrian strikes has not risen significantly, I’m not going to be convinced that distracted driving isn’t the bigger reason for the 53% increase in deaths (although still not the only reason).

What this study is trying to say (although its sample size is too small to say much) is that if you get hit by an SUV, it is more likely to kill you than a car would.

That’s a bit of a harsh way of putting it, but not wrong. Modern machining makes it tough for internal bits to fail early even if the are using every ounce of compression the octane will let them. But to that point, the best engines out there at the moment aren’t a close to the most efficient hp/displacement.
