Neutral: My dream is for dealerships to stick around just as a place for test drives and manufacturer certified service. They are still there to “sell” you the car, but the act for literally purchasing isn’t the traditional salesman/manager/”please head over to the finance department” setup.

I’ve done some searching and 2500 Suburbans seem impossible to find. I think it has something to do with how Excursions are shooting up in price.

General Motors: Running poorly for longer than any other car will run since 1911!

Credit it to my homerism included with my username and avatar, but really, they are the most boringly great cars you could ask for. Can do just about anything and do it for over 300k miles with ease. I’d just amend that a Tahoe can do 90% of what Suburban can do while not being as large.

A 23 year old GMT400 is like 10 years old in normal car years.

I’d be stunned if that gave him the advantage for the win.

Good example. Even though they have the semi-legit reason of wanting a phone that can be as close to waterproof as possible, most people would definitely prefer it to have an aux jack.

My theory with things like this is that when there is something so dimwittedly simple and obvious that everyone prefers, that makes it ripe for a dopey executive to try and justify his paycheck by convincing every other dopey executive at some meeting that actually, it would be best for the bRaNd to not give people

Yeah, I’m pretty sure 3000 lbs is the minimum. If you go on the website, you can actually configure it up to pretty heavy GWVR.

My employer (commercial electrical contractor) started buying Transits for our foreman and they all absolutely love them. On the few occasions I’ve driven them, they’ve been excellent.

Heck yeah. Furthermore, I’d say they are the best candidate for Hydrogen FCV’s too. Same system, cleaner energy.

I tell out of town-ers that “Go Bears” is Chicago-speak for “I am in terrible pain, please kill me”

Hell yes! You can do so much with old buses and short buses. They make awesome infield tailgate vehicles for racetracks. I live in Chicago and tailgate for pretty much every Bears game, and there are tons of modified short buses with murals of Walter Payton and whatever else on the side. It rules.

Agreed, this was very unfair:

No idea. All I can think of is the phrase “significantly transformative” in reference to fair use cases.

Agreed. Logically, the real fight would be with whoever produces the parts for the “Eleanor” body kit. I haven’t watched any of the video, but I don’t think someone can fabricate the whole thing themselves.

“We’ll save money no matter how much it costs!”

Yeah our governor has been taking a lot of heat but I’d still say he’s been OK. The city of Chicago on the other hand has been a bit of a hot mess, that started with the Mayor being one of the big deniers back in March.

Yup, and they added the actual version with the classic minis to online as well a year or so ago.
