I think the real argument here is that the rise in pedestrian deaths has more to do with distracted driving than it does with more cars being trucks.

That one is dated nearly four weeks ago. I’m pretty sure that was as when NY was just beginning to peak. The only reason to keep it there is a precaution for a second wave, which is a good reason, but again, if it was hardly being used during the peak, then shit, why even bother.

You’re quoting an article that is more than a month old. I don’t know if it is still that bad at Elmhurst, but you should provide recent proof if that’s the point you are trying to make.

Not only on the personal level, but the business side as well. My employer (commercial electrician) just bought a pair of brand new F150's we weren’t planning on buying until later this year.

What’s more, this thing shares so much of its mechanicals with a high-production vehicle, it should not be hard to keep it running. Although I don’t know if an insurance company would share that sentiment.

The 9-7x with the Vortec 5.3 is the ultimate mindfuck for insurance because mechanically, there could not be a more reliable and cheaper car to repair, but everything else on the car is from a defunct company whose parent would rather have you forget it existed. The 6.0 is probably in the same boat, but that number is

Yeah, it varies from state to state, city to city. Its worth mentioning that my friend’s job is out in the sticks of central WA, a town with only one stoplight. I wouldn’t be surprised if a hard-hit decent sized city shut down all commercial projects, but it could also be the property owner/general contractor’s

Curious, what state/city are you in? I’m in Chicago, and as I mentioned, we are still running at capacity. The only jobs we have had shut down are hospital work, or sites with multiple confirmed cases, despite Illinois being pretty aggressive on shut downs.

You have a great point, and you’ll get the standard plenty of “because American luxury just means large” responses, but what nobody talks about is that the rise of trucks as luxury vehicles has coincided with the disappearance of classic American luxury boats like the Cadillac Deville, Lincoln Town Car, etc, due to Cor

All of this is accurate, but what you and the OP is leaving out is the fleet side of truck sales. The construction industry is still humming even in states with more aggressive lockdown standards being adhered to, so now any company planning on buying a work truck in the near future can now do so on a better deal they

It makes even more sense when you consider truck buying in the commercial/fleet sector. With construction being deemed necessary in most states, any company (or municpality for that matter) who was already planning on buying a work truck sometime this year can do it now with an interest free loan. Yeah, the only comeuppance in all of this is that if Biden can remain upright and coherent until November, I’d bet my life the state flips blue, just because of the black turnout he creates that Hillary never had a prayer of getting. So at least then we can see all these dopes fill their diapers about that.

This is cool and all, but everyone needs to go watch the newest video that Regular Car Reviews made. It’s the best 12 minutes you will have during the whole shutdown.

I can’t stand this tech stock sell-ing, married with a lack of spen-ding

I always just assumed it was Dick Cheney’s plumbing company!

The issues is that *by modern standards* the reliability is still relatively bad. However, relatively bad by modern standards is still quite good.
