The response to the styling update was pretty overwhelmingly negative, but calling that “controversial” is an overstatement.

Fair points! For what its worth, my parents just bought an off-lease ‘17 XT5, and both of them implore its quieter and smoother than the equivalent Audi their lease just ended on. I look forward to going for a ride in it at some point to see for myself. Having all the normal dumb boring crossovers but having them be

Basing the lineup off of Chevy’s isn’t the that bad so long as there is enough of differentiation between the two (this is more or less how things have worked for Lincoln). To me, The bigger issue is the general mantra of “We’re gonna make a BMW that isn’t a BMW.” That doesn’t work because the most important aspect of

The Blackwing rules, but it was never fixing everything else that was wrong with Cadillac.

4th Gear: It feels like Lincoln has pulled off a turnaround that was 10x more successful than Cadillac’s attempt, and in about 1/4 the time, just be doing really simple shit.

If there was ever a time for an option in between “nice price” or “crack pipe,” this is it. Not numbers matching perfection, but still very clean and well done (or at least it seems), and 22k just about matches the market for that.

Yeah, it actually has a chance of working as opposed to option A which was just acceptance.

Neutral: I have no problem with it. Maybe its a personal taste, but I think the sort of cars AM is known for making are more about their own spectacle than advancing technology. And if consumer car culture can transition to zero emission vehicles, then odds are something extraneous is going to destroy the world before

or a 700:1 so they could have....

Not to mention “comfort” is in the request as well. Alfa is a fantastic sport sedan, not a comfy cruiser.

What’s the Market for a Harley crate engine?

“Electric Lincoln” Sounds like a really good name for a rural midwestern based Techno group.

I’m more or less committed to doing it in the next few months. There is a quarry a few miles down the main artery that I live on, and I work in construction so I drive to live sites at least a few times a week. The combination of dump trucks ejecting their loads all over the road and general construction site nonsense

Damn that’s cheap. I keep finding detective spec models with 100k miles for 5 or less. I think  I’m gonna get one once I have the space for it.

If they ever actually try a lane change in a manner as severe as the green arrow on the screen indicates, that thing will be on its roof faster than you can say “Things will get better now that De Nyschenn is gone”

I don’t know if you’ve ever driven an old panther, but it isn’t the sort of car where you sit back and think “gee, i wish i was operating my own gears right now.”

I think we are looking at this from different angles. I’m not looking for a car that is basically perfect in every way, I’m talking about a car to eat potholes and rocks from dump trucks on the highway while I drive to work for $3000. If the TSX really is that good then this rules.

My only issue is with this logic is that for the same money, you can get one of the last Ford panther bodies (not just an interceptor) for the same amount and at least 50k fewer miles on it. Even though it sucks gas, it will take abuse a lot longer than this Acura will.

Totally agree. Doing things from apps on your phone has always seemed to be the more convenient option to me. Vocal recognition just seems like a novelty except for a situation where your hands are full.
