The CT6 was never a success in the first place because it was a car designed to simultaneously be a 7-series while also not being a 7-series. The Blackwing was never fixing that.

It seems like the only logical solution now is to build an entire brand new car around this engine. Not just a run of the mill “Premium Sedan.” A full blown beast that just screams “Fuck you!” to anyone who looks at it. A complete exercise in opulence and arrogance.

I think the demographic itself is driven by cost. The odds of the sort of person who can only afford a used ‘Merican pony car doing a burnout when they aren’t supposed to is much higher than say someone in a newer M3.

Well that’s fair. That’s on me for only looking at it through the lens of traditional investing. I know quite few guys who manage pension funds so that dictates how I view it. They way how they have described it to me is that: “Tesla’s stock fluctuates a lot because almost nobody whose actual full time job it is to

I shit you not, I hit the wrong number on my keyboard and didn’t notice. I was aiming for the 3 but hit the 6 right above it. Which is still aggressive, but you could talk me into Ford and GM accounting for that much of the market combined.

Stock price mostly points to future potential growth,

And while you can argue about whether Tesla’s stock price is justified, it’s hard to argue that they aren’t the industry leaders when it comes to electric vehicles, as everyone else tries to catch up.

Well, this is not a rabbit hole I was not planning on going down. Holy hell.

This conversation got me checking company websites and sheesh, I now realize you can get a Colorado WT with Vinyl seats, remote start, keyless access, and apple carplay (albeit on the smallest screen). God damn, that’s all I want in my daily. If I had known this, I would have definitely bought one when I was shopping

That’s why you get a limo to ride in the back. Just gotta lock the doors in case you’re attacked.

With such an astronomical valuation, is there any room left to grow?

Include the F-150 Raptor. Not only did nobody ask for that, it also came out in the recession, and was still a hit anyway. I don’t think anyone can explain why.

I I won’t deny the reliability of all of all the 6 and 8 cylinder powertrains! Just the shoddy craftsmanship. Weirdly, I remember the foggy tailights being a bigger problem with Caddillacs than anything else.

Good lord, do I miss vinyl seats. One of the random things that made my avatar’s namesake so unexpectedly wonderful. Now you can only get vinyls on base models.

Haha, I figured, but that’s kinda what I’m going for. I live on the main artery that feeds a local quarry outside of Chicago, so I get absolutely pelted by rocks from dump trucks, and the road is a disaster. And I drive to construction sites a lot, so a really have no reason to drive something I actually value.

Really random: did you ever see the kids movie Zootopia? There’s a scene where the protagonist’s parents tell her: “It’s important to have dreams, just so long as you don’t believe in them too much.” The movie tries to sell that as being harsh and over-protective and I’m just sitting here thinking: shit, that’s a

Fair enough. Still plenty of other spots to critique the quality of a car that is supposed to be competing with things like the C-Series.

I still remember the posters in grammar school that said “Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss.... You’ll land among the stars!” Thing is... you can’t promise that. It could very well just be a waste of time, which in turn leads to the eyes glazing over issue.

Seriously, imagine paying $35k+ for a car with the cloth seats and the build quality of a Lumina.
