“Our culture is filled with bars and strip clubs on every corner.”
I don’t hear this as shrill, but I also listen to a lot of hard rock and punk rock so... I guess I think polish is overrated. This also feels really gendered to be on Jezebel. Articles like this aren’t written about any of the dudes squeaking in falsetto in pop music all the damn time.
But even in those songs, there are phrases, sounds, etc in between the repeated phrases, and they are repeated only twice. In “Perfect Illusion” the phrase is repeated FOUR times in each verse.
There isn’t a good hook. Or whatever they call that thing I like in pop songs I like.
Interesting read! I definitely did not expect this amount of Ariana stanning, I will say.
Besides the “shrillness” of her voice, I just think the song is too repetitive. The phrase “It wasn’t looooove” just goes on and on to the point where you get tired of hearing it.
A GREAT POINT MADE BY MY COLLEAGUE STASSA and furthermore LET’S ALL LISTEN TO WHAT STASSA JUST SAID

She is a despicable human being. Fuck her. Oh, hey everyone!!! Today’s non Ann Coulter update (that worthless piece of shit): It’s 5:08 PM in Dubai and the Heat Index is currently 121 degrees, or as the rest of the world says, 50 Fahrenheit. You could easily roast Ann Coulter on a spit in this weather. Also, here’s a…

Every time I went to that apartment I…
I think this speaks to the larger problem of publications not knowing what to do with a pregnant subject. Why are they always naked? Is it because maternity clothes are predominantly atrocious? Is it because reproducing is still the most important thing a woman can do in this society? Do better, fashion and…
I will never be over the fact that SVU did an episode based loosely on Anthony Weiner, in which the offending politician used “Enrique Trouble” for his “Carlos Danger” alter-ego.
I’d watch a Wheels Ontario movie. And a PubLizity movie.
FWIW I think Kroll’s skit “Wheels of Ontario” did a better job of skewering the “inspirational” disability drama.
I didn't know that Abigail Fisher had changed her name.
“I refuse to learn what I teach. Where do you think you are, not-Florida?"
I see a lot of people bitching about other people dressing down at work, but you’re neglecting to consider that if they dress looking terrible, and you dress professionally and appropriately, you’re going to look a lot classier. It makes it easier for you to stand out. I grew up being taught that you should dress for…
