I've played all the Halo games. But I've skipped every cut scene, and play with the sound off. So for me it feels quite a lot like all the other Halo games.

That's basically my setup. 7.2. Atmos is overrated. I have the whole room acoustically treated, and that made it sound better than my best speakers...
