So many people raging for no reason.
If you get disconnected but it was your account that downloaded/bought the game, then you don't get kicked out at all. Just... I mean...just use the account that downloaded it. Jeez.

I know it could be an interesting topic and all, but it's still a quote taken out of context with a ridiculous headline that's not really related to what he was talking about. Kind of unfair considering Carmack is generally pretty awesome about giving in-depth interviews and actually answering questions for a change,…
Meh, some of them are over-skeptical trying not to be blown away by the trailer.
I have to admit Destiny to starting to shape up to be for the next gen what Mass Effect was for the last gen (At least for me). The sort of primary motivator to pick up a next gen console sort of game.
I can see forever.
See, this is why Sony are the good guys. They listen to what the fans want. Not like Microsoft, those guys didn't change a thing.
I thought people only wanted to play games on their PS4? Why bother having these apps.. It's a gaming only system.
It was designed with GAMES in mind. The XBO seems to me that it was actually designed with developers in mind, just app developers equally with games developers. The setup it uses is aimed at general computing over gaming, while the PS4 goes all in on the gaming.
I feel like it may be possible for Consoles to catch up to compression and be able to download a compressed version/smaller version and then unpack/decompress it once downloaded?

I seriously believe Kinect support is planned to be put apart of windows kernel in the next few years. I am betting the X1 is the test waters and training people to use it. Then they launch a Surface 3 or 4 with built in Kinect into the frame or as an attachment like the keyboard. Now your laptop/surface tablet…
well, the Xbox One is already a media machine, not a gaming device. We're on Kotaku, so people naturally look at it through the gaming lens, but Microsofts vision for the device and the potential of it go beyond games.
People talk about money lost and exclusivity checks written, while totally ignoring the fact that, to bring this title to PS4, Respawn would have to spend the time and the money to do their own server architecture, run their own server farms (they've said they need thousands of servers for this game...some hype? Sure,…
Games like Halo 4, GTA5, Beyond Two Souls, and other late gen games show that we have no idea of the potential of either console and won't for a few years.
Yea, that "imaginary crisis" line pretty much makes the rest of the article easy to dismiss. A few companies are making a very healthy profit off of used games — are those profits imaginary, as well? The fact that publishers don't see a dime of those profits is certainly not due to a lack of imagination. Maybe they…
Good, good... the public grows weary of all these little, naked pop stars and redirects its attention to the entertainer we OUGHT to be seeing everywhere:
Planet Reach? Nope. NZ
I wouldn't expect someone who has never worked with software to know this, but you're making 2 months out to sound like some tiny amount of time, and were they just getting started it would be. But a lot, I mean a LOT of development work, particularly when it's just bugfixing, can be done in that amount of time. The…
